Our hands have been used for great good, and have been used for great evil, but mostly they are used for simple daily living; i.e. Try tying your shoes without hands. Hands learn with practice, and are arguably the sole reason humans have outclassed other animals for survival in the evolutionary process. There are hands that work hard, pulling on heavy things, griping tightly. These hands do the work, not afraid of getting dirty, or getting hurt. Hands that play guitar, bending notes, creating a sound, express a feeling, work a rhythm and, more importantly, make other people feel what they feel. Some hands are delicate, feminine, efficient and soft to the touch. A big part of how people operate, live, express, and do anything is connected to our hands.
My hands have been silenced, or at least, quieted! Not one muscle below my wrist moves, and only very dull sensation exist in my thumbs. My hands do not feel hot or cold. My hands lost the ability to play guitar, and the ability to unbutton my shirt. My hands definitely don’t tie shoes, and they cannot hold a tennis racket or shoot a basketball anymore.
Still, my hands work hard as I push a wheelchair using them, despite their inabilities. I hit them into peg-extensions that stick out of the handrim. And, as paralyzed hands go, they do a pretty damn good job of it. A lot of it is timing, as I try to time my hand connecting with, or near, the peg as I push. This becomes more complicated as one side needs more effort than the other in order to turn slightly, or adjust direction. And, admittedly, often my hands miss their mark, and slip off the rim. My hands have learned to type on a keyboard with a pen, and write, by placing a pen between the fingers. Albeit, the legibility not great. My hands have learned to pick up the phone by using more wrist and gravity than any hand movement. My hands have learned to pick up papers, or turn a page, sometimes by licking my fingers first for added friction. My hands stay beat up and dirty from the work they do.

(excerpt from 'You Rock...I Roll')
I kept my search up, finally meeting a beautiful Latina with Colombian roots. Her name was Lunita. I couldn’t believe this stunning chica called my ad wanting to meet me. She was working towards a nursing degree, but meanwhile employed as an aide to another quad in Tampa. So, maybe she was just curious, I imagined.
We decided to meet for a drink, and when she showed up 45 minutes late I really didn’t think there was much spark. Conversation didn’t flow easy, I really hated it. But after the brief date we somehow continued to talk on phone and build some chemistry. Dates aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. Sometimes it’s better to know each other before a date. Lunita might have been the prettiest girl I ever went out with. I’m not exaggerating when I say guys tried to pick her up at traffic lights. I never saw a girl get so much attention. Well, except for my sister Jani. She was the absolute Queen of making heads turn.
This dark haired beauty definitely knew everything about my injury, so nothing threw her for a loop. I have to say “that was refreshing.” I didn’t have to explain everything about my condition. Gradually, Lunita started coming over to my house, lounging and just talking, but eventually she ended up in my lap, face-to-face. No alcohol involved. Just two hot minds!
The making out was super intense, and I had my hand rubbing her panties every chance I got. One night I told her to lay back on my bed, but she wouldn’t. I knew she wanted to, as I could see the wheels turning in her mind- staring at my bed, then saying no.
I knew it was only a matter of time, so I kissed her goodnight. After she arrived at her home, she called me to tell me she made it home safe. “One other thing…,” she paused for a few seconds. “I masturbated in the car on the drive home.”
We both laughed. But it was also a huge turn on to think about. I asked her what the paramedics would’ve thought had she wrecked and got killed with her hand in her jeans? Then, I’d have to live with the guilt of killing her.
Anyway, from then on most of our encounters included me performing orally on her, which she confessed to me later that she really loved having done- more than conventional intercourse. Well, I thought this is perfect because I was loving it, too.
For the next few months we did it every chance we got - in my bed, my van on parking lots. Wherever. Not that she was that into me. Actually, she liked me, but not really loved me. No, definitely not love. However, she did invite me to her house one day. She helped me get in, and I met her family, which I thought was pretty damn brave of her. But I could tell something was missing emotionally, which hurt me because I really wanted her heart. And that just wasn’t available.
Ah, but I wasn’t complaining. The sex was absolutely sizzling hot, and sometimes that carries a lot of weight in a relationship. Doesn’t always have to include love, and really, who knows what love is anyway? There’s so many different types of relationships out there. We had emotions for one another, just not in love.
I remember one morning her showing up at my house before I got out of bed. She jumped in with me. I have an electric bed, so I raised the back up to sitting position. Lunita sat between my legs with my pillow behind her head. It was a great position as I kissed her very smooth tanned thighs.
For me, this was as good as it gets. There’s something so hot about being dialed in to a girl’s emotions and physical feelings. We’re sharing her physical excitement, and so for those moments I’m inside her spiritually.

Well, got the best compliment on my book yet!!! A lady in her late-60s told me she's near the end, reading the 'Love, Sex and a Quad' chapter, and, in her words, 'got so horny I couldn't handle it.' Like I said before, this book has a LOT of things in it. lol

Just practiced with guitarist, and there's times as a musician you feel euphoric over certain things.. It doesn't happen all the time, and sometimes you wonder why you do this shit, but today i'm high on it, and so is my partner. First, we've started writing a few things that i feel good about, and we added some cool covers that i'm going to love singing. We're really clicking together, and i've seen him become a really good guitarist over the past year. I'm just excited, so rambling..

Here's why I'm so high on my music-project, Raining Diamonds, with Donald: First, I'm getting older with less energy and more physical ailments, namely my neck injury. My partner is young, fresh, ambitious, quick on learning and damn talented. My father was a well-known jazz musician in Miami in the 70s n 80s, taking on young talent the same way, including Mr.Jaco Pastorius, one of the greatest bassist ever. I've found a large field to play on with Diamond Donald because of both our talents and attitude. It's probably my last go-round with playing, so I'm trying to accomplish some goals while having fun. We're a rock-acoustic outfit, taking on songs that you won't hear out of most duos. We're gunslingers, shooting up the saloon, breathing life into a bar like Beach Fyre Bbq Grille, where we really enjoy playing at. Come out and see us sometime.
