I took that pic as a joke a couple of months ago. A girl I am friends with was discussing a diet she is on, and said that her legs look too fat. I sent her this pic and told her she should get some pins like these.
It's funny now looking at the pic, I hadn't ever really thought about my feet, and my legs look almost normal in this photo as there is nothing to gauge the size. Maybe I am a faker??

You would be easily fooled if this is your proof. There was a dude on here, who as well as having a real nice chair, hired a wheelchair van, with lift and everything, when he went to meet a couple of ladies off the board

I was the targeted dev and I totally fell for it. He was on cam with another dev with a catheter and full bag. He agreed to meet the group of us and showed up in an accessible van. It was all a lie. It took a LOT of work for us to finally out him. Not only does he walk, he was married with small children. He had been online faking out devs for MORE THAN 10 YEARS! Which means he was creating his family all during his pretender life. As far as I know he is also scamming (currently) for VA benefits and still getting support on CareCure. So there is no way I back down when red flags fly. I take it VERY SERIOUSLY. And once someone sets off my faker radar... I do spend some time and energy doing my best to make sure he isn't targeting anyone.

I can't imagine ever wanting to catheterize if I didn't have to. The first time I saw a nurse catheterize me in the hospital I was terrified. Based on this story, I can't think of any real way that a guy could confirm that he's paralyzed to a layperson. Surgical scars and atrophied legs might not be enough. It's probably fairly easy also to scam for medical benefits or get a letter from a doctor. I once had to take a medical exam with my company's doctor to verify that I qualified for my insurance benefits and he barely did anything in terms of a real examination. I can imagine VA doctors in the US are already overworked and overstressed as it is to go through a thorough examination with every patient up there.

I don't receive any kind of insurance benefits. In Brazil these benefits are allowed for PwD only when they're uncapable to work, unemployed or retired. However, when I did my pre-admission examinations for the job I now have, the doctor who attended me acted exactly the same way as the VA doctors like JW said...
Wait for the Brazilian Public Health Services in Brazil is as indefinitely remain in the Hell's anteroom.
By the way, tomorrow I'll travel to Belo Horizonte (an 175 miles trip starting before the sunrise) for another routine medical appointment.

....and this was only for the insurance that I received through the company that I worked for, as my accident occured while I was technically on the job. I am still waiting to receive my regular NIS (National Insurance Service) benefits from the government, that I am supposed to receive as a taxpayer who suffered a disability. My accident was back in 1998 and I filled out all my forms TWICE many years ago. First they said they lost the documents, then they said it's still being processed. My feeling is the government doesn't have the money and are just waiting it out to see if some of us disabled just die out so they don't have to pay us.

All this sounds in a strangely but familiar way to me. And wonk I'm sorry for hijacking this awesome "para nudity" thread!

I actually met someone online last year who actually liked to catheterize himself even though he was a healthy person. He even likes to stick multiple catheters inside his penis...he said it gives him great pleasure when doing so at which i was shocked...of course it took many time for him to get used to the actual pain but now all he can feel is pleaaure...he also has some clips posted on some porn site...of course he likes to watch others do the same...

Based on this story, I can't think of any real way that a guy could confirm that he's paralyzed to a layperson. Surgical scars and atrophied legs might not be enough. Well, there is one way, but it's not pleasant. I heard of a cop who got it into her head that this one quad she was arresting must be faking, so she dumped him out of his chair. He wasn't able to break his fall with his arms so he broke a couple ribs. I can't imagine a faker being able to stop themselves from reflexively breaking their fall like that. But short of violence? It would be pretty tricky. Oh, yeah, I know of some people like that. I used to hang out on a diaper fetish forum, and there were a few who wore a catheter emptying into a diaper to simulate incontinence.
