@malibu what is it you wanted to say? The post is only 1 year old - much older ones are very often revived... Also, a guy I quoted said BIID is disgustong - I was just replying. And I do not understand why are YOU offended and by which comment? My point was clear, and also I said comparison is a stratch but I used it anyway... What was yours? I´m not offended by you, Nia, you´re fine!! I think it´s not a comparison at all, I have a different POV, based on my lack of not knowing it better. I can be convinced though, I´m open to learn. It´s a polemic subject though, I´d rather discuss it in off if you´d like that

I've often wondered what happens after being in a chair for 20 years as someone with BIID, when the shoulders and elbows start wearing out, do you continue to live as a PWD? or do you revert back to AB? Like @tc123 says, some BIIDers may be in it for the PWD perks and not the negatives, and if it becomes too burdensome then what?

What a sadness over here...This forum is so full of hanger..It is quite ridiculous that devotees are even not honest with themselves, just assuming who they are really...

It's an emotive subject for a lot of people here, for a whole host of reasons, but I think what you'll find above are a selection of viewpoints on BIID. What you won't get much support for is questioning the validity of us actually being devs. That gets my hackles up straight away, I'm afraid. You come on a dev forum and question the fact that devs are even real?! That's almost funny... Seriously!! I read that and was like, buahahahahahahaha!!!! Just.... no.

But, this might be a good time to once again mention the five stages.
It's hilarious, sad and a little (very little) refreshing to see the stages here, too.
She doesn't like me, she must not be a real dev.
Check.

What a sadness over here...This forum is so full of hanger..It is quite ridiculous that devotees are even not honest with themselves, just assuming who they are really... So.. I have two questions: 1. Do you think we are not being honest with ourselves because many of us are not attracted to those with BIID, but rather to those with an acquired disability? If that is the case I highly recommend you reread some of the responses on this thread, especially from @inkdevil , as she very clearly explained that an aspect of the attraction for many of us stems from the strength, the overcoming of adversity, the "cruel beauty" as my para sweetheart put it, of adapting and accepting a new life that was not their choice. So... I fail to see how we're not being honest with ourselves if that is our personal preference? 2. Hanger, eh? I do often get hangry when I haven't eaten enough... but I don't see how that relates to my devness or to this forum. If you mean't anger... well I don't see that either. I think even those (devs and PWDs) who argued against self-harm for BIID purposes on this thread were quite level headed.

Me too. I'm a little thrusty too, could use a drunk. I'm not going to say a lot on this because I don't know enough about it to make as valid a point as others on here have, but doubting a Dev's preferences is just not on, even worse is implying that they are lying to themselves, how insensitive can you get?

Wot kindle of sammich do you pouch? Is it a Submarine Sammich? I prefer Ewe-boats because they taste like lamb.
I apologise for this derailment, slightly.
Keeping it on topic though. BIID is an interesting disorder. At first thought I'm nclined to disagree with it but on the other hand, sometimes people genuinely can't help how they feel. It's a tough one.

When I become hangry I punch my sammich before I eat it. Grr, arg. I was once so hangry that I squeezed a can of beans so hard that the top popped right off.. no can opener needed. But then I got so angry about the mess that I just made (the bean explosion), that I jumped on PD to spew my anger everywhere. Then I got hangry again. Maybe that's why the dude thought this forum was so full of hanger. #sorrynotsorry

OK, I won't apologise for enjoying myself.
So, what's the best sammich feeling you've ever had? For me, anything with cheese. Cheese is good.
I know a song about Cheese, take it away, Pinky:
