And the very sad other side, of course against men (not women) who are devotees:

My oh my... if I were just 20 years younger! Dang he's cute.
Brings up an interesting point. Do people think (the general population) there is something "wrong" with being attracted to someone with a disability?

My oh my... if I were just 20 years younger! Dang he's cute. no kidding! ;D yay for pinkcrusader. he gets it. it made me wonder if mr. pink just might be a lurker here? Brings up an interesting point. Do people think (the general population) there is something "wrong" with being attracted to someone with a disability? i think yes. however, i think it's different if they think you like someone "despite" the disability. like if they think you like someone enough that you can 'overcome' the factor of the disability... i get the feeling they are kind of impressed by that. lol

Does anyone else think that maybe a dev should be explaining what & why they feel as they do?

Though, I don't see it happening (though perhaps it has and I'm just ignorant to it...like many things), I agree with Ben, it would be good to get a Dev out there like that...

Does anyone else think that maybe a dev should be explaining what & why they feel as they do? Explaining it again? Isn't that what the whole board's about? Thank you Claire for posting the link

The chick in the 'anti' video is really kinda sexy tho: I like that articulate but disheveled(look at her hair!) thing she's got going on.

Thanks for posting the video Claire. I love being reassured about this issue. (and the guy is adorable, maybe someone should invite him over here, eh?) And Ben, it feels a bit riskier for a Dev to post her opinions on something like youtube. The fact is, it's still a controversial issue and 'coming out' in that type of way would take a lot of courage, especially with the number of people who consider it to be deviant and unacceptable behaviour. I don't know though, maybe there are girls on this board who have the guts.

I'm doing about as much as I can here. Going public in the form of a youtube blog might have a negative impact on my employability. I also really hate the comments people write under the clips, it's about as sophisticated as graffiti on a bathroom wall. And is it just me, or does anyone else find the long, drawn out rambling of video blogs, no matter how intelligent, about as exciting as watching paint dry? There's a reason why people (like newscasters, commentators, etc) on the radio and on TV often read from a script, and study elocution and delivery. It's, like, um, uuuhh....difficult? to speak....uh, coherently.....and discuss ideas that are, like, complex? you know, at the same, um, time. Not to dis the cute quad guy, but I find all of these "vlogs" unbearably painful to watch.

The girl is so painfully sincere and innocent, I really couldn't stand to watch it. I remember being 19 once in much the same way and I'm surprised I was allowed to survive.

Yeah, I agree with Devogirl...the points are great and it's nice to hear those folks voice their opinions and get the words out there, but the manner in how it's portrayed is hard to watch.
