LOL! Wow, you have just jogged another early-devo memory, one I had entirely forgotten. When I was a kid I was around a lot of Kenny Rogers fans and I absolutely could not understand that song! What the heck was wrong with Ruby?
FWIW the lost lyric there is "And the wants and needs of a woman your age really I realize...". For us of course, such a man does indeed fulfill our wants and needs.

I must have been about 12 when "Ruby" came out. I bought the single and played it over and over again, half looking over my shoulder for my mom to ask why did I like that song so much. She never did.
And I never could understand Ruby either. Crazy woman.

Windride and Dolly...believe it, or not, there was a 'crip band' down here in about 10-15 years ago. I THINK they were called "Rocking Chair." I had met the guitar player, Paul Purcell (a para) years before, but they had a whole band of crips. I never got out to see them, so I don't know if there were Devs throwing thongs, or not. lol Years ago, I used to play in a duo with a guitar player. We called ourselves 'Wheelin n Dealin" - now THAT is corny!!! lol Even more 'corny' was the fog machine my guitarist was determined to use when we did 'Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi. I gotta laugh at the Spinal Tap irony!

What about a spoof of Kenny Chesney's "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy"?
"She thinks my wheelchair's sexy It really turns her on She's always staring at me While I'm chuggin' along..."
