Right, as with anyone, the whole package needs to be a good fit. But with respect to the body part of the overall package, what is pushing the dev buttons? Is it still the body only or the extended body, body plus chair? Every dev is different in what they like and find devy. Personally, I like amputees and not SCI, CP, MD, SB or any of the other disabilities that many devs here prefer. For me I am attracted to a guys body. Naked in bed is always best, swimming is a close second I am not attracted to the guys body plus adaptive equipment like his chair, prosthetics, or braces, without those things is always better IMO.

Personally, I could still be attracted to the man but he certainly wouldn't be pushing any dev buttons. Tbh, you wouldn't fulfill my dev wish list either (although you'd do better than the other guy) since I have very specific preferences when it comes to my devness, which include a low para in a wheelchair. But this is only the IDEAL fantasy. Could I still find you or him wildly irresistable? Absolutely. Could I also be completely repulsed by a low para wheeler? Absolutely. Maybe a man prefers tall, blonde bombshells. I'm not any of that. Could he still find me attractive? Sure. Well, maybe. Gotta ask him Again, I can't speak for other devs but the wheels definitely catch my attention. The same way that pretty eyes or a fantastic smile do (well, not the exact same way but you catch my drift). After that, it's all about the man. Of course...later on...I'll gladly revisit those wheels...hmmm...yesss.... Right, as with anyone, the whole package needs to be a good fit. But with respect to the body part of the overall package, what is pushing the dev buttons? Is it still the body only or the extended body, body plus chair? Hmm. I've never been asked specifics in a public setting before. This is a tough one to answer without the opportunity to discuss. But I shall do my best for ya. Again, this is just the IDEAL scenario... For me, it's both the body and the chair. 1. The body: a physically fit (we're probably talking about a magical unicorn type of build here) upper body...coupled with a lifeless lower half...geez...I don't even have the words to explain this... 2. The "extended" body: This one's a tad easier. I have some wicked fantasies about specific positions and "acrobatic maneuvers" involving the wheelchair. These shall come to life once I've found aforementioned magical para unicorn. *sigh* Personally, my hot button is how the body moves...hmm...we're lying in bed...and realize that we've forgotten the light on...I would be a spoiled brat...and watch as he transfers his butt into his chair...wheels over...turns off the light...and comes back to me...so that I may reward him in turn...yesss... Welcome to my brain. Scary place. P.S. - Koalas are cute, wonk. Plus, I've owned tarantulas and snakes. And eaten crocodile (actually alligator but close enough) and shark. *thumbs up for Australia*

First of all, welcome!
To answer your question, I love the equipment! It's not the equipment in itself, but nice equipment makes an attractive disabled guy even sexier. That's how it works for me.

Vegetative is the same as autonomic, Inigo Montoya. Dunno if that helps at all? I'm guessing that the dude looked and moved perfectly fine but would have issues with things like bowel, bladder, yaddy, yaddy, yaddy... Right, which lets me wonder if he would have been welcome to the forum? Technically he fulfills your definition from above, but appears like an AB. As a dev, would you still be attracted? To answer the question: i wouldn't. Late welcome from me too.

He'd be welcome. Although this is not among my preferred types of disability, I'd be attracted in a devvy way if he were also otherwise attractive to me. I'm not just attracted to any guy with a disability. A disability makes a hot guy hotter to me, though that's a simplification.

As for the walking para attraction.... I could see maybe a walking quad hitting my dev buttons some. I've known a few walking quads, but no- not really. Honestly, a walking para would most likely not be high on my dev list either- if we are strictly speaking in dev attraction. I'd still go on a date with someone. I prefer a guy in a wheelchair. I'm not attracted to the devices either, but the look of a guy in a chair is what looks right/good/yummy to me. I prefer the look of how a guy moves in a chair. So from what I hear I should get rid of the braces and replace them with a chair ... Well, I think I wan't do it until I have to, for simple reasons like standing at a bar.

Welcome, Tommy (and by virtue of that welcome I extend it to all who are relatively new).
Wow, I haven't been here for awhile. Lots of new and fresh faces.
I have a question for Tommy. As a walking para who does not use a chair at anytime, what happens if you need to get out in a hurry? If you're reliant on a brace, etc what is the safety plan? I'm curious as I can understand not wanting a chair when walking is a reasonable option.
I could ask the same for you, Braced for Impact.

I believe you get more needed Oxygen on the floor.

Yes, like in case of a fire or any other situation where you needed to exit quickly.

I hope I simply find enough time to get dressed-up. But I'm not so much worried about that, I just avoid the war zones. I'm also pretty comfortable with my current pair and I hope I get a second backup soon. But this wasn't always the case, especially when I traveled. I was always concerned that they would brake down and I get stuck somewhere in the nowhere. So I would always have some replacement parts and tools with me, and I remember carrying a pair of AFOs for worst case scenarios with me. I still have those, but never needed them. I think I have enough trust about the people around me in case I really need help.
