You girls are never satisfied when it comes to toilet seats. What is the purpose of the lid? It hides the water. Also, it allows you to stand on the toilet to reach things that are high up. Never just stand on the seat... Oh no! Try not to fall down. I cannot watch if my girlfriend is climbing up chairs, stools or the kitchen cupboards. What were ladders invented for?

It also lets the evaporated water condensate at the bottom of the lid which eventually leads to mold growth there. That's why we men intentionally never fold down the lid.

Think contact lens case and toothbrush. Seat down, please. That's the best justification I've ever heard. I don't know whether it actually makes a difference for most toilets, but regardless I am NEVER mentioning this justification to my wife......

I used to think it was no big deal but I now get a little pissy (pun most certainly intended) when people use my bathroom and put the lid DOWN. I empty my leg bag and the lower the obstacle, the better. If you have an innate need to put the lid down, I invite you to please use the main bathroom. I don't even go in there, do whatever the fuck you want.

I can think of some countries where they don't have covers on the toilet seats.

My bff was talking about having traveled in Europe and has referenced using a public toilet that was just a hole in the ground. Most of us are pretty spoiled in the USA.

When I sit on the toilet seat (with the lid up), Chi will flow harmoniously and help with happiness, mental well-being and good fortune, no Feng Shui needed!

Most of us are pretty spoiled in the USA. You can find those mainly in the southern Europe. While travelling I like them better than a dirty toilet bowl.

Try Malaysia or Indonesia and it often is a hole in the ground with a hose to wash yourself! Talk about lack of accessibility...
