Exactly one month ago today, hephaestus and I stood before our dearest friends and loved ones, professed our loved for each other and recited our vows. We're enjoying our newlywed-hood immensely and hope to go on our honeymoon soon after I take the bar in spring. We would not be where we are today had it not been for this board and all of the love and support we have received over the last few years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! <3

Thanks, B4I! Though it may not be a dating site, it sure does bring a lot of awesome folks together one way or another.

Thank you, THANK YOU!!! I know it can seem like such a remote possibility, but I truly believe this community creates not only lasting friendships and unwavering support, but also the room to grow and find a like-minded, and hopefully, adventurous soul. With a little luck and perseverance, anything is possible. Wishing you all a safe and joyous holiday! xoxox

A big congrats to both of you. All the photos are great, but the first one of you guys smooching is hugely grin worthy.
All the best for your life together. May it be happy, adventurous and joyful.

Thank you, @shanzi!! The majority of our wedding supplies were ordered from Etsy! The dress was made by an Atlanta-based shop, Hippie Bride. They were such a joy to work with and so sweet! The crown I'm wearing is a relic from the 1920s made of wax from a darling shop called Silver Sixpence Vintage out of Liverpool. They even gifted us a silver sixpence to slip into my left shoe. Everything from our rings/jewelry to the guestbook and feather plume pen were all crafted by or found in Etsy shops. It made planning an absolute breeze and though they may have been flung all around the globe, it felt like a shop around the corner. I was lucky to find such friendly and helpful vendors while browsing from the comfort of my bed after a long day at work. Plus, it gave our wedding a unique and authentic art nouveau feel. I admit, it was so fun to plan, I was a little blue when it was all over. It was such a fun day though. Glad we have pictures and video to relive it.

Ohhhh, I love when people plug artisans! Especially since Etsy is the reason I'm always broke hehehehehe. I'll be checking those two out - my best friend is getting hitched soon. I absolutely love vintage weddings. They just have so much class and personality, and you two rocked it!!! Even my grouchy mother was charmed when I showed her. I can only imagine how much fun it was to browse and shop for. Little jealous over here, heh. Congratulations, again!

You should! These guys are awesome, but honestly, I've had nothing but great experiences with Etsy (which is why I end up so broke too!!)! Unlike eBay and Amazon, Etsy still has a "local" artisan base and feel to it, though I know there are more and more "big box" types there these days. Thank you again and have fun browsing! I think you'll like their goodies!
