Also, on the smut front there's a book called The Year we Both Fell Down... i have to say even though she has a super low incomplete injury I still really like it. Green bean, I read that too. Liked the story and interesting character but not sexual at all to me

I was also thinking about this the other day! I'm equally attracted to both men and women with SCI, but I'm pretty much only attracted to AB men.

@greenbean (hello there!) This is interesting...I would definitely be into a woman with athetoid cp...and that's about it woman wise. Otherwise, men with any disability do something for me. This is mostly about the athetoid cp for me, it's my number one thing...always has been but I gave up on the idea of seeking that out a long time ago...way too complicated

I thought about this for a moment. There are women I find attractive - also disabled ones. But I'm not sexual attracted to them.

Once again so many similarities and so many differences between devs! Gotta say I'm not surprised it's a disability-centric interest for most of us. I got to thinking about this a lot because sometimes I get bored of the youtube videos/porn I have stashed and want something new, but my dis preference is so specific that I pretty much had to branch out to videos of women... and I quite liked it, and was a little surprised I did because like most of you I only find ab men attractive in a relationshippy way
aussiegal, I really hope you find your perfect wheelin women!! And hey der vancityy, how the rain treatin you? Ah, you and me and athetoid cp...

I think I've always kinda been into women in some way, there were always girls I found attractive and interesting in a different way than my girl friends. Over the years my interest for women has increased and I'd like to hook up with a girl or have a threesome with my boyfriend and a hot girl (which of course he thinks is quite a good idea). I tend to find a lot of AB girls really attractive! I think I would prefer an AB woman rather than a PWD woman, but I also used to watch YouTube videos with para women (although the men did it more for me), so I guess I'd be open to both. I think that, like with men, my dev interest in women is also limited to SCI. I rarely ever see any wheeler girls though, so I guess it'd be even harder than finding my male SCI unicorn. I'm also more sexually attracted to women than relationship-wise, so I would rather have or seek a sexual encounter with a woman than something serious (at least for now, I'm quite flexible I guess).

I love that someone else brought this up. Before I learned about devs, I used to think that I was bisexual. But I learned that my attraction is only to women with disabilities. But then I realized that I was REALLY attracted to guys with disabilities. But it's a tough line actually.

This is super interesting! I identify as bisexual, but I've always wondered if it's just because I watched many dev videos of para/quad women since the supply of dev porn is skewed that way. I'm definitely equally attracted to PWD men and women, and probably a bit more attracted to AB women than men. But it seems from your post that there are almost two planes of attraction, where many of us might prioritize a dev interest over a gender interest. I definitely feel more attracted to PWD than AB, holding other factors constant. For me, I always felt that my devness is a form of sexuality in and of itself, and I've always internally rebelled against the fetish label. Sorry if reviving an older thread is not kosher by PD etiquette -- please let me know!

I find a few AB women attractive, more so like "hey I may fool around here," but never really would want to dive further than that.
I don't find women PWD's attractive, but from a dev standpoint I'm HIGHLY interested in it, because I'm interested in all things disability. Meaning I can read a book with a female lead PWD and totally get a dev high from it. That in itself will trigger an arousal, but it's less sexual and more of a dev thing. It's hard to explain.

Like Serendipity above, I identify as bisexual/pansexual, and while I am typically more attracted to men with disabilities than women with disabilities, I think that's because I tend to be more interested in men, or at least masculine persons, in general. That doesn't mean I'm not attracted to women with disabilities. I definitely am, but I feel like women with disabilities tend to be more anti-dev than the men are, and as a feminist who works for an organization that serves victims of domestic and sexual violence, I understand and respect where they're coming from because there definitely are some seriously creepy devs out there ruining the reputation of devs for the rest of us, and women typically have more to fear from men than men do from women, and I think that feeling might carry over to fearing dev women as well simply because of the stigma of the dev label/identity. I think it's important to be open and honest with anyone who could be a potential partner, though, and I don't want to date someone who is anti-dev any more than they would want to date me, so I tend to prefer people who are open to dating devs, and mostly that ends up being men. I tend to like the same disabilities in women as I do in men, for the most part, and I'd definitely be open to dating a woman with a disability, but that opportunity has not yet presented itself. Mind you, I've been single for a good long while now, so it's not like I'm dating a man right now either, and I'm very open to different possibilities as long as I am able to connect with the person in terms of similar interests and sociopolitical views, because if you don't have similar interests and sociopolitical views, no amount of physical attraction will make that relationship work. I hope that makes sense?
