So...some of you may also know I do a little more than just YouTube how-to videos. I've also done some nude modeling and wheelchair related vids on Gimps Gone Wild. (stage name Hollywood) I often wonder how many of my YouTube followers found me on there and what they think of me after seeing me pose naked. Do you think it discredits my helpful videos on YouTube? I have yet to receive any negative feedback directly on YouTube but who knows what people are actually thinking behind the scenes. I still enjoy posing nude regardless and I have received a lot good feedback so I'm personally fine with it. I guess I just wanted to get your take...both from devs and PWD's.

As a dev I often wondered how you'd look like naked when watching your videos on YouTube. It wasn't until a few weeks I found out about GGW and you being on there. I must admit I was a bit shocked... After seeing the cute proposal video and your videos about wanting/trying to become a father and so on I suppose I had a bit of a different image of you. Still, I'm rather neutral about the whole thing. I don't necessarily think it discredits your how-to videos or that (open-minded) people would think less of you because you do "Dev-Porn". And if so, I agree with gshotta, you do what you want to do. I'm sure some of us devs are happy about it.

If you want to be taken serious don't put nude pictures of you online! What do you do for a living? I cannot imagine you want your boss or colleagues to see those pictures. I'm maybe a bit old fashioned. But I wouldn't appreciate if my SO would publish nude pictures.

Personally, posing nude online isn't something I would do and given your very apparent commitment to your wife I was quite surprised to find out that you were on GGW.
That said as long as you and she are comfortable with it yourselves, and with others seeing it, then I don't see any issue with it.
As for changing the perception of your YouTube channel, apart from dev's I'd be quite surprised if many people would see both, they would seem to appeal to such different audiences. I'm assuming that most dev's would happily see a cute wheeler either way.

I haven't seen you naked, so I have no feeback there But I did look up your YouTube videos and I have seen some of them before.
Here's my question: I've always wondered who the actual intended audience is for these disability "how to" videos. It seems like real wheelchair users would learn how to transfer or dress in rehab, and I can't imagine the typical AB person looking up an instruction how to video on how to transfer from the floor to chair. So, I've honestly always assumed those types of videos are geared at dev-type women (or men) for their viewing pleasure. No judgment from me! As a dev, I of course appreciate that many of these videos exist! I've just always wondered the actual purpose of making so many videos for the world to see. And here you are to answer my question. Are there actual wheelchair users who learn from your vids? What kinds of feedback do you get on your channel, and who is your typical viewer? As for the GGW, I don't see how this could ruin your credibility. If it's something you're comfortable with putting yourself out there, and your wife is cool with it, then I don't see the issue. I assume you're married from all the proposal talk. AND, if your intended audience for your "how to" vids is actual wheelchair users learning "how to," then I doubt they'll accidently run into your nakedness on GGW
Very good question. The vids are definitely geared toward new injuries who have less than stellar rehab facilities. I feel like I had a decent rehab experience but there is plenty that they left to be desired. I found that I learned a lot on my own and I wanted to share that with my viewers. The majority of my commenters are SCI's...and they have said they have learned a lot from my vids. I rarely get Devs to comment. Most are PWD's.

And while I wouldn't want my employees to see my GGW stuff I doubt they would ever be looking for it anyway. But still I get your point. I don't think I would care that much if my manager saw...she's not super rigid anyway.

I question your intentions for joining PD. Are you here on a self-serving basis to sell your porn or here to genuinely learn about devs? You're in a domestic relationship yet want to befriend devs? Is your gf a dev?

Is your gf a dev? Hi Kivic. I totally get why you would think that. It's not a self serving thing. I've just become really intrigued by the dev community and wanted to learn more. I'm not hear to bring attention to the GGW stuff. Just thought I would get some feedback. And as far as my wife goes, no she's not a dev. We were together pre-injury and I don't think she's directly attracted to the wheelchair thing.

i'm happy you're here Brian...it makes me feel less guilty about enjoying your videos. Something that I've often thought about in watching videos on youtube about disability related topics is how wold the maker feel about the dev angle... I won't lie and say there isn't a dev attraction for me in watching but its not like porn for me. I enjoy watching just to learn and feel educated about such things for if and when i may have a disabled partner. I'm glad you sought us out and that you're open minded and curious. I hope you find answers to the questions you have.

I don't have any interest in the GGW pics, but I know they are there. I would never pay to look at them though. I found you on there when I checked out the site after it was mentioned here on PD a while back. I did think it was weird when I saw you on that site. It did kind of give me that "Why the heck is he doing that now?" feeling. I didn't like it. I have no interest in it at all. I think the "educational" videos on YouTube are all right but I don't look at them to get my dev "thing" on, I may check one out here and there for the sole purpose of learning about all things paraplegic because I am just interested in it. You do put a lot of work into it I think and they are good quality compared to others on YouTube. So now my two cents on the proposal video, I didn't particularly like it. Maybe I am the only one but since you actually mentioned here how it all was kind of stressful and all when you did that and your wife was ticked off or something. I somehow felt that when I watched the video and that was a long time ago before I knew the back story on it (which you described here).

You are entitled to your opinion and regardless I asked for it. The good and bad. As far as the proposal vid goes OF COURSE it was stressful. I was asking a girl to marry me for God's sake. And wanted to make sure she didn't see it coming!! The stressful part was arranging the whole thing. She was mad because she *thought* we were missing out on walking out to the pier with the rest of the family. But once it was said and done she wouldn't have it any other way.
