What music are you currently listening to?

Don't know if anyone likes Jazz but I've been really into this guy lately. He's originally from Beirut and taught himself jazz at 19. It's a great mix of middle eastern sounds and more western freeform jazz and a bit of Spanish influence here and there, like in this song.

I'm not the biggest country fan but I don't think you should put down someone's music tastes but maybe you were just taking the piss, not sure. 

Anyway thanks for sharing Nick Shoulders, and Willi Carlisle love their sounds.

I was looking through stuff I'd listened to before and I came across this album of Bruce Springsteen, possibly the only one I like. It feels very country.



Also randomly found this which I kind of fell for. Sometimes pedal steel just hits the spot.

i meant in terms of my personal taste, otherwise i would have said something like "that shit sucks and is bad" rather than "i hate it". in my view, the former is a judgement on the quality of a thing (and with that usually comes the baggage of judging people that like it) whereas the latter is just a statement of personal taste.

i was literally thinking about this when i actually wrote "i hate it" because i didn't want to come across as judgy, but maybe i did anyway lmao.

i'm less into willi carslisle but he does have a few songs that i really like, the grand design being one of them. really glad you dug nick shoulders tho. my favorite jam of his is actually a blondie cover. an ex introduced him to me a couple years ago and i love him now.

Speaking of country (well... more like folk). I grew up listening to Jim Croce and thought I knew most of his songs, but discovered this one recently. Still relevant now as ever
