So, I saw "Saint Motel" last night and their warm-up band "Kolars" was absolutely amazing, they have a new fan with me now, that's for sure. I have never heard of them but their vibe was mind blowing, the girl was amazing with her drumming and tap "drumming"... Saint Motel also was so awesome and fun, I had a blast...

I recently stumbled across a "Highway Star" cover by Type 0 Negative(not their best cover, which is probably why I didn't know it before). So I thought its about time to listen to the original version by Deep Purple again. And the live recording on "Made In Japan" is the best ever! And because I'm enjoying it so much right now, I add one of my favourites by The Ramones. Also pretty cool! "MY Brain Is Hanging Upside Down" is according my knowledge, the only punk rock song in which a fucking carillon can be heard. That's really something!

I saw Des Rocs open for the Glorious Sons Friday night. They absolutely crushed it! Awesome stage presence and energy, they totally reveled in every minute they had under the lights. If you get a chance to see them DO IT! Made the headliner look lame.

Yeah, absolutely...Those were the days when MTV really did broadcast music!
Today you have to stay up until damn late at night to see/hear something good with a lot of luck. Otherwise they only broadcast silly shows. At least that's the case in Germany, unfortunately.

And.....Stray Cats, this time with a lovely ballad.
Love the vocal bass on that.
Speaking of bass, Tina Weymouth did a brilliant documentery on the history of the role of bass in music, work tracking down.
'On Bass, Tina Weymouth!' It's called.

Omg lol, do you ever have these like weird flashes of memories from when you were really young but you can't really place them or remember details etc? I have had one, just this flash of a memory of watching a music video on MTV with guys jamming surrounded by trees. I've always wondered which video it was and as soon as I started watching this one I was like... omg I think this is it 😂😂 Cant say for sure but it did jog the memory lol I think I would have been around 4ish when this song was released so the timing tracks lol

I just discovered My Truck by Breland, but before that, it was Billie Eilish.
Who knows what next week will bring?

Five minutes of throbbing, one minute of mania, and then abyss.
