Hello from Midwest USA! First, have to bond on the love of electronic music. I’ve been to countless EDM shows and festivals over the last decade. What are your favorite sub genres? It’s interesting to hear a blind persons perspective on the devotee community. Have you been with or met a devotee in real life?

Hey mate, thank you for expressing your interest in me so thoroughly, I feel honoured. However, I don't think I will be able to return your interest in the way you'd like most.
Cool that you are from India though, I've been in November last year, before all hell broke loose .

Hey, so nice to see a fellow dance music lover here, who took the effort to revive this topic. I didn't get notified by this , but I knew something was calling me back .
I'm a melodic guy, so my primary love is for trance, but I also love all other sub genres as long as the beats have some nice chords and melodies accompanying them. That can range from deep house and melodic techno, to Seven Lions type dubstep, to full on hardstyle. Yes, I can geek out about this for hours if you like. I guess it all becomes an important part of your universe when you're DJ-ing and producing yourself.
There is a lot to tell about my perspective on devness, but let me summarize by saying that my over all talking and meeting experiences thus far have been really interesting, enlightening and very positive.

Hi all, I thought I'd share a nice 2020 summer memory with you all from a sunny Italian Beach, as well as a new intro I recently wrote for a dating site, which could be a nice addition to the one I wrote , well, now more than two years back... I’m a guy with a different story , what’s yours? Beautiful moments with people is what gives me energy in life. Hence I just graduated in Communications and Media studies , most of my time is spent living my passions and chasing my dreams. DJ-ing and producing Electronic music while indulging in other genres , volunteering and travelling , spending time with friends or strangers , always up for an adventure leading me to somewhere new and unexpected. Obviously that’s more difficult in these times , but one can only try. Maybe we can try together? :-) It doesn’t always have to be that crazy and complex though , as a nice hug let’s me travel to the nicest place I’ve ever been 🤗 My friends would describe me as lighthearted , open-minded and easy going , but also as a good listener who enjoys deep and intense conversations. I'm not attracted to a specific type of looks and am open to all forms of connections. So let’s just talk and see how our story goes … There you go, see what you all think

Thank you for the nice comment This is my choice indeed. For me, on-line platforms allow me to get to know a person without immediately being judged by the stereotypes associated with that disability. That said, off course I do inform people about it when a good conversation is going and well before a possible date is planned , usually with a joke, or just by showing them a video where I'm DJ-ing. This way , the possible negative views they might have on blind people innicially, are mitigated by what they know about my personality and what I do in life. I could perfectly see why you would mention it from the outset , but for me this approach works fine so far, and I was able to teach people a lot about blindness and what it is who otherwise would have never come in contact with it.

Hey blindlover have you listened to Tumanbay season 4 episode 1? It just released in the US, but it might have been available in the UK sooner. The first episode is called Palace of the Blind. I'm still enjoying the series as a whole but I don't like how all the blind characters are villains. Just because a story is historical fiction doesn't mean it has to replicate all the old prejudice of the past. But anyway I'm curious to know your opinion.

Hey , thank you so much to alert me about the new season I had honestly no idea it existed. I kinda got distracted half way through season 3, and will give myself a little treat before falling asleep to night.
From where I am though, I kinda already have an idea where this is going.
In general I am a huge proponent of nuance when it comes to Character building, especially when minorities and disable people are concerned. The modal person has less contact with these people and hence rely more on media sources to form stereotypes and impressions. I agree that this will probably be exactly what happens in that episode, but also Dare Devil, on the other end of the spectrum, is for me not exactly an example of how I would like blind people to be portrayed in the media when it comes to image building ...
To be continued when I got to listen to the episode ...
