I’ve been roleplaying since the age of 12 (almost 20 now) and has an amazing time doing so. I actually was looking into this sorta thing online... if there were any dev sort of roleplays! I find it’s a greet form of self expression. But yes - it can be hard to get that spark/connection with someone!

Yeah, chemistry is a must, but it can certainly evolve too, it doesn't have be instant. Start out getting to know your role play partner, find out who they are, what they're like, what they like to do, what they're interested in, and start casually building from there. I know it's exciting for a PWD, but don't lead off with sex (unless the dev does first, lol.) It's like going on a virtual date, get to know each other and then see where it goes from there. You might find you don't mesh well right at the get go, so don't try to force it, but if things look promising, build on that. Ground rules being established early on are good, too.

Have done it, but the experiences have been mixed. I find it hard to get into with a guy I’m not attracted to or who isn’t attracted to me. If mutually physical attraction is there (and he’s not too self centered) it usually works out pretty well. (Yes, people can PM me lol)

I've RP'ed in the past and it can be a good thing, but as others have said best when there is a connection. I've done it with both PWD and pretenders and both have been enjoyable experiences.

Bumping this thread up to see if any female devs are still interested in some no-pressure, just for fun role-play through private messages. If you are, I'm always happy to play!

I've never done role play stuff but it sounds fun! If there's any para/quad interested, just let me know haha You must hate your inbox. 😜 I meant to reply to this thread when it started. What do y’all mean by “role play?” Like do I pretend to be a naughty pizza delivery boy that can only deliver to accessible homes?

What do y’all mean by “role play?” Like do I pretend to be a naughty pizza delivery boy that can only deliver to accessible homes? LOL. Well here's how I see it, there are a lot of both devs and PWDs here who have never been with the other. As well, there are devs scattered all over the planet as is the case with the PWDs, so the likelihood of either finding each other IRL is somewhat lower. Online roleplay is a way for Devs and PWDs to sort of gain experience with one another, maybe live out some fantasies, and as an icebreaker. There have been relationships here on PD that even started as long distance, but one moved to the other because the connection was so strong. I figure, roleplaying is a great opportunity for more to develop if it exists, yet still have the low-key attitude of "if it doesn't work, it doesn't work." So let's say you message fictional DEV123 and you explain your disability, the dev is into your disability, and you start gaining back and forths, like "what is it like for you when you...." insert situation. In turn, the PWD can be like "hey, does it turn you on when I..." and then things can flow more naturally. It can obviously get pretty sexual, which is why the privacy of the PM protects both parties and PD from any problems. I think communication is key, you explain to each other boundaries, like "we won't go there, discuss that, it's too uncomfortable for me," etc. If you do that, you can respect each other, have fun, and maybe something more can come from it.
