Figured... since there was a "What music are you listening to" and "What are you netflixing" thread... wanted to start a "What are you currently gaming" thread.
Games of choice right now.. The Last of Us and Assassins Creed Odyssey.
Last of us starts out with a feel bomb right to the chest... "I'm not crying... you're crying." GREAT GAME... BUT FUCK IS IT DIFFICULT... I mean you have that one walker that if it touches you ONCE.. you are toast. Have to take that game in doses...
Enjoying the grind of assassin's creed. Like a mind massage when you can just build levels.. customize your ship.. and your own equipment. REALLY hate that it seems like you have to help the Spartans. Minus the battle of Thermopylae.. they were kind of racist fucking ass holes. Don't get me wrong.. everyone was tribalistic and racist... BUT really despise the idea of having to help them over the Athenians.

I’ve been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 a lot. Also recently started playing apex legends. I really loved the ship aspect of AC Black Flag, I would imagine Odyssey is even more intricate. I should snag that one soon, I’m sure it’s not full price anymore. The game looks so vibrant and colorful.

I've started playing a few more games lately, and I've been really into Rocket League. I'm absolutely horrible at it, and I'm lucky if I win one game out of 10 when playing random matchups with real people.

I don't mean to brag (I'm definitely bragging), but I beat it on survivor mode with my ex-boyfriend. We co-oped it. Bottles and bricks for days. I'm currently trying to temporarily trade my PS4 for a friend's Switch, so I can play Zelda Breath of the Wild. I also recently enjoyed Night in the Woods, What Remains of Edith Finch, and Everything. Narrative is the most important element in games for me.

I don't play a lot of new games anymore, but I love retro games! I've been playing a ton of emulated Sega Genesis and SNES games. Currently playing through Shining Force on Genesis.

Narrative is the most important element in games for me. I think you may be my polar opposite! I really, really wish I could enjoy more story-heavy games, but they just usually don't hold my attention for some reason. Skipping cutscenes is a bad habit. It's even weirder because I'm a huge film/television fan, so I more than enjoy stories in other forms... just not so much in games. I just finished a replay of Dying Light, and am looking forward to the full release of Visage. Good horror games are rare, but that one looks promising.

Currently play Apex Legends with my brothers, Hearthstone daily quests, the sims 4, monster prom, loving Civ 6 with the DLC, World of Warcraft is always lingering especially for RP. Secondlife always interested me but seems like you have to invest a lot.

"But I beat it (The Last of Us) on survivor mode..." *blinking fiercely and quickly*.... cue up Disney's Hercules scene "We're not worthy" tenor.com/vsct.gifDoes seem like bricks are definitely where it's at... just haven't honed it in yet.... Here I am a mere mortal trying to progress on normal. My baby bro (19 yrs old) LOVED breath of the wild... so maybe I'll add it to the list. Narrative is also critical for me... MOST of the time... my favorite junk food games are shooters/mindless killing games.. LIKE Dying Light or Gears of War... because killing zombies that don't kill you in one hit is more fun when you feel like a mindless brain massage.

I just finished up MLB The Show 18.
I'm still working on Everybody's Golf, Kingdom Hearts 3, Mortal Kombat XL, and Soul Calibur 6.

I've been addicted to Apex Legends recently, and I play a ton of Rocket League (I'm still trash though). These are my two go-to multiplayer games.
I've just started making my way through Metro Exodus. While I love the world and it's atmosphere, the writing is cheesy as all hell which kinda takes me out of it. Also it controls like ass on console, making it difficult to get immersed.
I'm also enjoying my second playthrough of the Resident Evil 2 remake, though I have to stop every now and then when the spooks get too real.
P.S. Shout out to the Last of Us. Easily my favourite game. I'm most of the way through a grounded playthrough. It's difficult when you have like 3 bullets and about 7 runners to deal with... fun though.
