Nah man I’m completely with you on this one. I played Red Dead all the way until the end of the main story. It was fantastic. But the online mode is terrible until it’s got enough features to not be terrible. Used to love Assassins Creed but it’s also a bunch of repetitiveness. You find out all the levels are pretty much repeating the same strategies and it bores me. Sports games have become being a rocket scientist to win online. I’m terrible at first person shooters. Spent my whole life gaming from sun up to sun down. Now? I haven’t cut my system on in a month unless it was to log into WWE Network Yeah, online is a no go for me, mainly because I can't justify getting PS Plus on top of other subscriptions because free games and discounts aside, it'll barely be used. Other than that, a lack of features and other players out to spoil fun also make online gaming something that just doesn't appeal. Sports games are good because it allows me to play 'what if?' and construct dream matches, ignite my passion for Alternate History, dream teams and all that and that's something that never bores me. It allows you to really push your imagination to the limits and think outside the box. That's why I love later WWE Games so much. As a lifelong Wrestling fan, nothing is better than taking an Alternate History type stance. I became bored with my PS2 (which also seems to be dying!- everything I touch dies!) so I got my PS3 down from my Mum's attic yesterday (been looking after the dog at hers whle she's off and playing during his downtimes) and played WWE 2K14 again. Having a playground full of classic wrestlers and arenas was so much fun. It's coming home with me while my PS4 is getting repaired, just gotta find the room for it (my PS4 was below the TV, but the model of PS3 cannot balance a TV), but when there's a will to play, I'll find a way. TL:DR? Going cold turkey from booze and junk food is almost as delicious as it sounds. I just need that escapism again. I've been miserable and feeling sorry for myself since the start of the year so maybe treading over some good old times before I came out of my shell will help me strike up something of a balance. My trouble is, I find it hard to balance (in many ways) and become single minded if I'm not careful. Gaming aside, I think this'll help. But, no-one wants to read about that aspect of me so I'll shut up. [/quote]

Things like football against the AI CPU even in the hardest level I can call 3 plays the whole game out of one formation and score 50 points. It’s just plain boring to me. And like you said online grievers tend to ruin the experience for me there. I never got much into playing WWE games because again it’s so easy to beat the computer even on the hardest level. If I’m super bored I can run a universe mode and let the CPU face the CPU but even that gets glitchy most of the time. If they ever make it to where those fights are more realistic I would be all in

RE2 isn't really that bad. I managed to get through Resident Evil 7 in VR. Now THAT is terrifying. VR really elevates the horror aspect. I absolutely trust you but like...I was screaming while playing until dawn. I’m a wimp hahaha I am currently playing Until Dawn and I scream a lot... also, I can only play one chapter at a time because the suspense kills me.

I love this thread! I'm playing Apex Legends these days, I'm also thinking of picking up Dark Souls 3. Has anyone heard of this new Taiwanese horror game called Devotion? I was watching some Twitch streamers play it this weekend, I'm too much of a wuss to play games like that myself but it looks really interesting.

Until Dawn was on my list after enjoing Detroit, Farenheit and Heavy Rain so much.
One look at a Wendigo however and I'm screaming in octave that has yet to be numbered.

Anyone else a rogue-like or rogue-lite game fan? Stuff like Hammerwatch series, Dead Cells, Streets of Rogue, etc.? I started out with Diablo in 1996 and that's what got me exclusively into PC gaming, and my tastes have more or less never strayed. While that series is toast for the next 4 years, I've been digging into more games in the genre on Steam. Some of these indie studios really know how to crank out a lot of value from games that seem simple.

I embarrassingly have logged over 800 hours on that game over the past few years. Still not bored of it.

Me too! I loved Grim Dawn, I haven't played in quite awhile because I was literally killing my fingers, but I think I topped 1000 hours since I started playing when the beta version was released.

And I come here to get away from TV tropes, you horse's arse. Anyway, I may have to send my PS4 to Sony to get it repaired since the shop I took it to replaced the power supply (which is where the issue in question usually stems from) and yet it's still having issues. But, all in due time, as I'm currently playing through an old PS3 favourite Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2.

Yeah, Shin Megami and TV Tropes is one hell of a rabbit hole.

I've been trying to lick my way through Resident Evil 2 on the PS4. But it looks like I'll probably be sending that back to GameFly soon. The next game of my Gamefly list is Days Gone I may start a stream of BioShock until Days Gone comes in.

Days Gone does seem quite tempting now that I have a PS4 again. You can't get any cooler than Deacon St. John for a name either, unless of course you're John Deacon.
How the day/night cycle will effect gameplay is one of the things that has me intrigued. Whilst it's nothing really that new, it's always interesting to see how different games handle such a mechanic.
