Similar to SOR, I always use "real words" that can't be searched. Go ahead, look up myrrh, you'll find a bunch of resinous trees native to northern Africa. Opoponax is the specific name for the kind of myrrh I was infatuated with when making this account, but man... that's not a sexy word at all. More like speaking in Pop Rocks. In conclusion, pls don't start calling me dickhead in the future. I feel compelled to bring up Epictetus, a Greek philosopher who claimed he would sooner die than shave his beard. Sound that shit out and tell me it's not the greatest name ever? it certainly sounds metal af doesn't it? *strokes beard* As far as your name goes, myrrh sounds like cat language if you ask me. =^_^= Myrrh Myrrh =^-^= Myrrrhhh! hahahaha!

King Cripple stems from way back in the way back when I was still a youngling and in college. I had already been writing about and reviewing traditional, prog and power metal records for a couple of years by then. It had been fun but I was searching for ways to diversify the content I was covering. So, I started my very first blog aimed at reviewing extreme metal demos.
But in the seemingly endless search for a unique identity for myself and the blog, I took a bit of inspiration from the records I was listening to at the time, like I seem to do with even greater frequency the older I get. The records I happened to be listening to at that time were from London prog rockers King Crimson. And after mustering all the creativity that my feeble, broken body could muster, thus was born King Cripple and his newfound, digital kingdom, In The Blog Of The Crippled King.
So, making a short story even longer, once I found these boards, rather than burn up the last remaining fumes of my creativity, I simply went with my chosen moniker of the time. That, and PantySoakingWheeler was already taken, and nobody wants to be PantySoakingWheeler1. That would just make you look dumb.

Pretty obvious really...i am delightful. Actually, for a reason that makes no sense to me now, its after Angel Delight. A sweet but chemically toxic dessert, available in several "flavours" (i use that word lightly) in the UK

So my name is Bias and I’m trans so to me TotalBias is like Bias 100% of the way... plus it’s sort of a fun play on words.
My old name llamaguccii was a play on my old last name Lammouchi. My boyfriend who passed away would always call me llamaguccii because he once misheard me say my last name, which was pronounced La-MOO-she

I learned that there was a period of time in university where people who didn't know me referred to me as "that dude with the weird limp" but that's a bit of a mouthful however it seemed rather fitting for this community.

Though I don't live that way anymore, Trill is Texas slang for streetwise...hardcore. My injury (gunshot c5-c6) saved my life in the long run, so it was truly a blessing in disguise. I don't miss the old me a bit...life's good when you can breeeaaathe!

My username is the probably one of the more boring ones around. Manda is obviously short for Amanda and 2212 is part of my anniversary date. Lame AF!

Emma is not my real name. I took Russian in middle and high school and everyone in the class chose a Russian name to use in the class. I had always liked the name Emma so that was the name I chose. When I first got online as a dev I used dae011f (a combo of my old school college internet login and one of the disabilities I like) but that's a bit weird when talking to people I decided to change it to a real name. That reminded me of when I first started learning English in 5th grade. We all had to pick an English name for class and in our English book was a girl with blonde long hair (yeah, I used to be blonde) and her name was Peggy, so I took on that name for my English class persona I never thought about using that name in anything. Is Emma a Russian name though? I would have thought of something like Katerina or Olga or Oksana or Larissa or something Anyways, my profile name is nothing special, just me, very uncreative

I've seen a lot of interesting user names while browsing the forums and I'm curious if there's any stories behind them. There was a tradition in my family, that unfortunately was no longer kept alive, to name the girls (the boys according) with their parental grandmother's name, then their maternal grandmother's name, then their mother's name, and then their own name by which they were called. For example my grandmother was named Berta Frieda Marianne Erika (called Erika). And I always loved that tradition, that way to be connected to your ancestors, and was so sad that it had not been kept up - so I at least took the names of my grandmothers to create my nick here. :-)

my username is not really special according to a story behind the name or something. It's just that my real name starts with the letter "S", so I've always used names like "sunny" or "sunshine" at different web pages. I like the outdoors, I like summer and - guess what? - sunshine. I like to feel the sunshine. That's it ;-)

I started listening to Dave Matthews in college. I also frequently had to drive two hours each way to find a doctor that had heard of Spina Bifida, so I bought a big CD changer and Dave and I took a lot of road trips over the years. I sold that car recently after driving it for about 20 years, Dave included, because the eject button broke.
