I’d love to try it. I used to climb (outdoors) a lot, even though I’m not great with heights. It kind of intensified the challenge. The only thing I’ve tried and hated was potholing, underground caverns etc., found it far too claustrophobic. My job from leaving school until recently was also very high risk, and as my parents would say, I’ve always pushed boundaries lol

Yeah, Skydiving's fun! The scariest part for me, apart from that initial "oh shit i'm so dead" moment right at the start, was making sure my shoe didn't fly off my foot in mid-air.
I'd probably do it again if it ever came to it, though.

How'd it feel? I recently read a bit about extreme sports and the different reasons people have for thrill seeking and adventurous behavior.

@evagardner it was great! Sometimes I feel like I get no mundane routine and when I went skydiving it felt like it "woke me up" probably the first adrenaline rush I have had in some time! I recently heard I can do river rafting and I had enjoyed that in the past so I want to check that out again. Definitely scuba diving I also really enjoyed scuba diving before my injury the only drawback is I would need to travel down south I live in Seattle. Way too cold here! LOL!

I was given a wind tunnel voucher for Christmas. Various locations across the UK, and I cannot wait! Booked in for March.
I have a quad friend who went a couple of years ago. He enjoyed it.
I have another friend who became quadriplegic skydiving. Not wind tunnel; proper stuff! Life is a risk. I would have skydived when I was younger but I wouldn't do it now.

Let me know if you enjoy it, im keen to have a go with my partner. It would be great to do something together thats also accessible for him.

I will!
I am booked into iFLY in Basingstoke, which is also where my quad friend went.
He organised it through Sportability, but he told me that as long as you inform them of any disability in advance they are cool and it is a great venue.

Thanks lizzy , I hadn’t heard of sportability, I will try and find out more. I’ve been looking at the rally, track days that are using cars with hand controls but they are very expensive. Unfortunately most things that are accessible seem to charge a premium price. My big irritation right now is trying to book a holiday, if you go through a disabled based company they want you to sell a kidney to pay for basic accommodation just because it has a roll in shower.

@delight Definitely check out Sportability - it's a great charity here in the UK. All kinds of sports, including motorsports, quadbiking, sailing etc.
