Mayo and French fries! Yum! Family secret from way back. For years I had to sneak my mayo and FF.

How about vinegar with french fries? I personally can't stand it, but a Canadian friend of mine absolutely swears by it. I tried it one time just to appease him and nearly threw up!

Ketchup + mashed potatoes = good
Actually, I love all toppings. I'll seriously put ranch or sour cream on ANYTHING. You really can't go wrong.
In Atlantic City yesterday, I was dipping fries in guacamole. Fantastic.

I just tried a peanut butter, mayo mustard and sliced white onion sandwich. Goddam, it is good! You don't really taste any of the individual ingrediants; they all just combine wonderfully.

I tried it one time just to appease him and nearly threw up! where i come from this is the staple we call them slap chips from the afrikaans word meaning limp, these are french fries that dont go crispy in oil and are drenched in loads of vinegar wrapped up in brown paper, and for the carb unconscious this can be turned into a 'chip bunny'! (usually filled with curry) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunny_chow1/4 loaf of fresh white bread the inside scouped out so to make a pocket and the hot chips stuffed inside!

There's a restaurant in New Brunswick NJ called "Stuff Yer Face". La specialite de la maison = massive bread roll with a chicken cutlet, mozzarella sticks, french fries, cole slaw, spaghetti sauce, italian sausage, all smooshed down. I have never actually seen one but I know someone who claims to have eaten part of one.

Vinegar with french fries IS delcious! Even better, poutine. A Quebecois specialty: french fries, cheese curds and gravy. Apparently this dish hasn't spread outside of Canada, which is a shame, because it f*cking rocks. Try it.

I love gravy on french fries. I don't see any reason why not to add cheese curds to the mix.

Sounds yum. We have boring fries in New York - cheese fries, chili fries, fries with gravy, fries with malt vinegar, steak fries, shoe-strings ..... but the best fried thing I have tasted comes from down south. Mmmmmm ... Hush Puppies.

MMMMM poutine, soo good. Gotta agree with Iz on the vinegar and fries, that it is quite delicious. Yah, ask for poutine in the states and a waiter/waitress looks at you cross eyed.

.....they used to, maybe still do, serve vinegar-fries at boardwalk in Ocean City, MD, where i used to run around in my teen-days before accident. They were good, but kinda strong in taste. I do love fries with gravy or cheese-fries. But i don't wannabe one...lol Just fuckin playing...

Poutine is THE BEST!!! Of course, one poutine has the equivalent amount of fat of a pound of butter, but...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Honey, I am glad you are out of your silence, but we seem to be sticking with food on this thread, at this point in time. If you care to go back to page 1 and read through, you will find out why we are discussing food items. Don't be too upset if you find the desire to be paralyzed and the pretending part freaks some people out. I have yet to try a fried Twinkie.

i'm not terribly adventurous with 'alternative' food combos but the weirdest thing i've tried and liked was peanut butter on hotdogs. it melts and is surprisingly tasty.
