I get the impression that devoteeism is mostly a white and hispanic phenomenon, at least for hetero women.
Am I right abbout this? Any black or asian devs reading?

I'm an Asian, hetero woman, and a devo too! Devo's come in all shapes, sizes, and colors . In a way, though, I see where you are coming from. I was born and raised in the US, so you could say that there are not many differences between a caucasian woman and I. However, my parents spent most of their lives in China, and though I can't speak for all Asian cultures, devoteeism seems the sort of 'radical' thinking that the older generation there would be horrified at. Then again, I don't think that an attraction for disabled people is widely accepted in any area of the world, today, especially by the generation above ours. Still, I think that in terms of sexuality and kinks, some parts of Asia seem quite conservative, though China is modernizing remarkably today! BTW, keep up all the fantastic stories, guys, I love them!!

What about foot binding? I think devoteeism toward women is maybe common in older generations of certain Asian countries. I can't think of anything similar toward the male gender, though. (Of course.)

I agree that devos probaly come in all colors and creeds. For instance, I'm a black, bi, female dev.

I think the demographic you're seeing is just a result of who is on the internet, I don't think it has anything to do with devoteeism in the general public, internationally. For a long time it seemed to me that people assumed devotees were all men, or that they were only into amputee women, just because those were the only sites up. Anyway "disability" is a modern concept, before the 20th century people with physical differences were categorized and treated very differently than today, so I don't think you can make comparisons.

I have to agree with the above comments. It's across the board.
I'm a mutt, mostly English/Native American/Black/Hispanic.
Granted, I don't really fit into the "hetero" category, but hey! Heh.

White (Irish/Scottish) Bisexual, Para's
I think the majority of us are not hetero, but that doesn't really answer the original question...

Very interesting...and surprising. I geuss since I'm a white boy who has never gotten any vibe, any interest, from blacks or asians(but HAS gotten such from other whites) I just assumed...
By the way, do any of the other guys agree with me that there is something sexy about a girl of asian descent who talks and acts totally 'american'?

I can speak for 9 out of ten of the guys I know and say most Asian are sexy, regardless. Oh, I can speak for 9 out of 10 of the girls I know and say that, too, as a matter of fact.
