I just posted the next chapter, which is a sex scene 😜
I haven’t felt motivated to write an epilogue, so the next chapter will be the last!

Nooooooooo!!!!! Even the more so after reading it. What a cliffhanger, really.
But I didn’t expect her to be so mean. He deserves better. How is this possibly going to be a happy end?

Yes, annabelle, it was. It doesn’t match my picture of her at all, I just couldn’t believe that was the end... or maybe – I am getting the idea just now as I‘m writing this – it just can’t be like that, she just has to go back. Am I right? This is probably just one of you master tricks in making the story sooooo exciting and surprising. Oh, you’re so good! Ok, now I‘m actually relived. Getting disappointed in fictional characters can make me nearly as sad as getting disappointed in real life. But it’s not like that. So looking forward to the happy end. Even though I would even more look forward to the story continuing forever...

Do we really have to wait until Sunday? Can we convince you to just post the next chapter? I feel like that cliffhanger was too intense and you should put us out of our misery!!!

raindrop thanks! I actually just realized I’m going away next weekend, so I’m not sure how the heck I’m going to post! linda I think I’ve mentioned before that I’ve been getting kind of burned out on my usual writing. When I write books to publish on Amazon, I have to make sure that the heroine is absolutely perfect and never does anything wrong. This story is an example of something I might fantasize about that’s a little bit darker. But I’m starting to feel like maybe this is too dark for this crowd and maybe I should leave these fantasies in my head.

No, I like it! I don't think it's too cruel for a fictional story. I've read published romance novels where the characters do much worse. I like that you're pushing the envelope and writing something different.

I like the story, but am hoping it has a happy ending. As long as things work out, I dont mind if they have a rough period or if they say cruel things, it does add some anticipation to whether they end up as a couple.

You‘re the master of your story, annabelle, it’s absolutely up to you to create the characters the way you want. That goes without saying. I’m just saying I was really shocked. And it somehow destroys the picture I had in my head, but that’s entirely my own problem. I always love your writing.

I don't think a story should be all happy go lucky all the time, tension and drama makes a story good. My stories are full of it, not because I intend to but that's where my writing takes me. I like to go to very dark places and some stuff in my head is even darker. So annabelle you should never write what you think people want to read unless that is your goal. Instead always write from your heart. You have accomplished a lot with your writing, be proud of yourself. For me I may not have that many followers and readers and I haven't published but I am true to myself with the writing and I know there are a few people out there who like my writing. Your heroine doesn't have to be perfect. As humans we are not perfect; a perfect character is not a true character.
