I'd like to know what are the best ways to go to Times Square coming from JFK. I know taxi is a possibility but are there other options?

There’s a commuter train - the Long Island Rail Road - that goes from JFK to Penn Station in midtown. By far the fastest/.easiest/cheapest and arguably most accessible way to get to Manhattan. You take the AirTrain from the terminal to the rail platform and then the LIRR ride is only 35 minutes or so. thx alot I will do that!

Rail is easy but if not suggest Uber over taxi Why do u suggest Uber over taxi? When we were in NY, at time square, and too tired to take the train to our hotel, we looked up Uber. It was a 30min wait. So we hailed a taxi ask his rate, and then showed him the Uber rate. He matched it happily, and we saved 30min. Honestly, I have never taken Uber, and I was looking forward to it, but it didn’t work out.

I grew up on that rail and it's a TIME. I could write a book of wild lirr stories, but yeah it's cheap(ish) and easy(ish) and accessible(ish) too.
