Sorry if there is grammar problem, English is not my first language. Everything started with a weird biography I read five years ago. The writer kept using same words to express how delicate, malformed and lonely Kierkegaard was, over and over and over again. And they spent lots of spaces describing how Kierkegaard suffered from the disabilities he born with. Now I doubt the writer has a special kink. It's more like a lyric prose than biography. Soon I finished reading, yet the shadow of Kierkegaard haunted my thoughts. So I borrowed his diary for a better understanding. And it has demonic magnetism. Then I bought books about Kierkegaard as many as I could afford. I even started learning Dansk so that I can know him well( The process was slow though). And the more I know him, the more I love him. Sometimes, I imagined comforting him when he was mocked and insulted. And there're more kinky fantasies...

Unusual first post. Welcome.
I understand Kierkegaard wrote about disability. Are you interested only in his writing or are you a devotee?

Honestly I had no idea who Kierkegaard is/was and just had to look it up. I didn't see anything pertaining to him having a disability but I could be wrong. If you would like to maybe introduce yourself a little so we can get to know you. What brought you here?

I found myself a devotee after reading his books. I remembered I was attracted by men who used wheelchair or walkingstick long Time ago. But I didn't realize it until Kierkegaard.

I don't think Kierkegaard had any disabilities. Actually, he did. He was mocked for his hunchback and different-length legs. There are lots of comics created by his enemies remains today. I'll do a study about this as soon as I get Joakim Graff's book.

Few years ago, I used to be a fan of an actor who stared many disabled characters. I heard about'devotee' at that time, but I didn't realize it until I met Kierkegaard. Before I came here, I'd searched 'devotee' for times and I didn'find a proper forum in my own language - most of them are intended for male. As for me, I'm a student(adult) who enjoys Dungeons&Dragons staff, metal music and video game.

Have you ever made/played a disabled character? I want to nerd out so bad about it! Also, I will confess I do have “crushes” (or are they just a weird kind of obsession?) on disabled historical figures, so you see? You’re not the only one 😉

I am also into D&D although probably not as much as you, I only played when I was much younger. I was far too closeted at the time to make a disabled character. I know of another dev here who has played as a blind character for years and even started to write a novel about her character but she hasn't posted in a long time. You're definitely not the only one! I have also had dev crushes on historical figures (why hello, Sir John Fielding), that's how I got into writing historical fiction

It's so pity that my DM didn't allow me. But it doesn't stop me from discussing. Thank you, it's been a secret even to my closest friends. Sometimes I really don't know how to explain why I am so exciting.

I'll do a study about this as soon as I get Joakim Graff's book. I managed to find severe enough scoliosis that he appeared as if he had a hunchback. I guess it would count. It was really hard to find the information, but it's out there now that you mentioned it. What's the book you read?
