So I have no idea how to do this. The last time I used a forum like this was more than a decade ago and introductions were never my strong suit. Well, here it goes:
Hi there,
I'm a 28-year-old straight male with SMA hailing from Berlin, Germany. I work in tech and when I don't get frustrated at computers (or people in front of them) I like to read and watch TV series. Last year, I discovered Twin Peaks and really enjoyed the new season. Also, I somehow got into watching baseball. Did you know that Berlin now has a team in the top most league in this sport that is much more liked in the former western states of Germany? I'm looking forward to chatting with y'all.

A warm hello from a fellow German. I liked Twin Peaks too, though I found it super scary. Hope you enjoy it here!

btw, I'm a little bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of threads around here. How do y'all keep up? Oh, that's easy! You just completely neglect your professional and real-life social life and spend way too much time on here Jokes aside, I've actually felt that it's been a bit quiet around here lately (although maybe that's just me). After spending a little bit of time reading, it's all very manageable and I'm sure you'll find your way around quickly. And of course: A very warm welcome! Berlin is amazing! Been there twice, though both times for not much more than a full day, which was way too short. Is there a story to your nickname?

Hello from another German girl ;-). I usually visit Berlin at least once or twice a year. I really love how there are so many international restaurants around there. I know there are other members from Berlin on PD, too ;-).
Hope you enjoy it here! There might be many threads to begin with, but I think reading through some of them is worth it when you want to learn more about devs.

Welcome from a German in the US! Don't get angry at me but I actually discouraged my Taiwanese friend/coworker from visiting Berlin two years ago and instead visit some of the smaller German cities which are beautiful. She did visit my hometown instead and loved it, even met up with my mom 🥰 which was the bestest thing... Berlin is like a world city, like LA, NY or Miami and I am always a bit sad when let's say German friends only come over here for the big US cities even though there are so many smaller cities which are beautiful and worth visiting. Anyways, welcome and I agree, just look around a bit and you will figure out all the topics and threads.

It’s pretty easy to keep up with threads, have a look back over old ones and find things you like or have an opinion about, then just join in. This board works well as usually there are plenty of contributions to threads.....not everyone agrees with everything but that’s what makes it interesting.

Greetings and welcome from Bavaria!(My hometown is nearby Regensburg). Happy to have another series freak here. And people who really enjoy reading are also rare today. I hope you have fun here!

Is there a story to your nickname? There is! It's a portmanteau of penguin and kangaroo, two leading characters of my favorite German comedy book.
