Hi and thank you for letting me join your board. A member told me about it and about Devotee i didnt know this even exists. I was very curious about it because it gives me a good feeling that somebody not only accepts me the way i am but also likes it or finds it attractive. I have a rare musculuar disease which forces me to use a wheelchair. I look forward to make new friends and have some conversations here or maybe finding a more serious relationship, who knows.

Thank you never been there. Vorarlberg is far from where i live. But almost everywhere in Austria theres beautiful landscape with mountains except where i live there its flat... but this is not a bad thing when you are in a wheelchair

One of the most beautiful countries in the world for sure! And although mountains are probably the least accessible thing one can think of, I'm pretty sure the incredible network of roads, trails and cable cars make Austria's mountains some of the most accessible mountains in the world [brought to you by the Austrian department of tourism]

[brought to you by the Austrian department of tourism] Yes, it could be worse. But its hard to find beautiful accesable places in the mountains with a wheelchair. And the ones that are next to roads or parking lots are packed with tourists usually when theres no pandemic . But there are some vehicles for wheelchair users where you can go on trails too. What area are you from if i may ask?

That's the downside to living in a beautiful place... Do you happen to know Alpenverein's accessible hiking trails? I found out a couple of months ago that they have a filter for wheelchair accessibility in their online database of hiking trails (with a system of difficulty levels, which looks pretty impressive). I was super excited to find out about it, but I'm curious if many (any?) PWDs are actually using it and if it's any good.

I looked for some trails but they are not really in the mountains they are more in the valley. I ve been to Gesäuse National-park this summer. They even rent attachable e-bike for wheelchairs there. They pull you up a little. but you cant hike the mount everest with these things
