Here, Things seemed to go back to normal, but recently , cases have started to go up again. We are planning to go to Italy from tomorrow on with the family, and ironically, things are safer there now. Also, corona has seriously influenced our independence, and even inside the country , people are way less helpful in public transport due to social distancing rules. I feel I am less in cleaned to travel and visit people, which is a real big deal for me as a social person. However, I started really developing my passion for DJ-ing and producing to a higher level through virtual means. The community that formed around me and the love and appreciation I received are helping me through a lot and keep me motivated. I can't wait for this to be over, probably when a working vaccine will be around, but on the other hand, I wouldn't have had all these beautiful opportunities to maybe turn my hobby and passion into something more. I want to send all my strength to everyone who needs it along with virtual hugs ...

COVID-19 ultimately decides when it will be over. The solution seems to boil down to personal responsibility until there's a vaccine. Of course, not everyone is responsible enough, which is highly unfortunate.

The US is a mess. NY is doing ok, but other states are having over a 50% increase in cases after reopening (which is funny to say because they never really closed things down). It’s nice to see other countries flattening the curve, but I’ll admit I’m a little jealous. While I'm not really a huge fan of our NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, I must say he definitely handled this crisis far better than the national embarrassment we have sitting in the Oval Office.

I'm in Brazil, things are insane here. The "president" is working against us, incentivizing people to disrespect quarantine, to don't use masks. I gave up. It feels like things are going to be like that forever here. Didn't Bolsonaro now test positive twice for coronavirus? I doubt that's going to make much of a difference, sadly. Please stay safe @avila.

Please stay safe @avila . Well, he said so, it means it's not true haha. It's an strategy to encourage people to take hydroxychloroquine (in April he made the army produce one million dosages of it). He had COVID but it was in March when he visited Trump, all his staff got it but him (sure). Thanks, I'm safe locked at home since March. Take care!

Dr. BiPAP Sachin, Cuomo handled it like a champ. I live in California but watched all his morning briefings. I felt like I was getting the information I needed from him. I was joking around with my friends that he was my POTUS. LOL!!

wonk, I have to disagree with you. I'm completely aware Australia and NZ handled the situation great, I'm really pleased for you and I even sort of envy you. And although you are far away, sort of "at the end of the world" 😃 you simply can't stay "isolated" forever. The virus is widely spread here, among us, human population, circulating and the son of a bitch is very resilient, it spreads the moment measures are loosen. It's here to stay. So it will be more like dancing with it, pendulum between letting it spread, suppressing it. I am highly suspicious even about the vaccine. The newest researches show that level of IgG, long-term antibodies, drops quickly over the time. Therefore I keep wondering how vaccine will work if naturally built imunity doesn't?! We will, eventually, beat this shit sooner or later, this way or another and get back to somewhat "normal", without lockdowns, masks and social distancing . But I'm afraid the world we once knew is gone. Why not? We are basically self sufficient, and anything we do need to bring in can be decontaminated. The Oz government has said that we will be isolated until at least next July, it could be longer. Only a few days ago they have put a cap on the number of Australians allowed to come home every day, so as not to overstretch the mandatory quarantine. I guess Australian PWD's are out of the question now for non-Australian devs 😉

Every time I think this administration has bottomed out, they pull some new shit and we're all reminded there is no bottom. They've ordered covid data to get sent straight to the White House instead of the CDC, and now even the GOP is upset he's trying to divert funds from the CDC for their covid testing and research. Trying to block data reporting is some textbook dictatorial bullshit. But really, there is no bottom. Fascist pieces of human garbage have invaded my city and are attacking and disappearing peaceful protestors into unmarked cars. Look at this emotional little mob of rage monkeys try to beat up a peaceful demonstrator. See how they just let him walk away after? They're not trying to arrest, they're just trying to hurt people. State, county, and city leaders have demanded they leave, and the state Attorney General is suing the feds. So much for muh StAtEs RiGhTs. The CDC getting actively sidelined and suppressed during a gonna pandemic didn't demonstrate to you that the administration is peddling pure, unapologetic propaganda. Now apply that to what's happening in Portland: DHS thugs are here with the Border Patrol's version of their SWAT team to terrorize American citizens, do not believe the propaganda that these people are anything other than scared citizens trying to exercise their first amendment right.

I was mostly a homebody even before this stuff started, but admittedly even I am starting to get frustrated at not being able to do anything/go anywhere.
I'm currently in NJ where it isn't that bad at the moment (thankfully), but at some point when the weather starts getting colder I will want to go back to my place in Florida and the way things are right now down there, I'm scared.

Social distance whenever possible, wear a mask, wash hands/use sanitizer often, and also try to keep your immune system in good shape. That's really all anyone can do.
