Hi everyone! Please check out my new release, Like a Boss, out today on Amazon! It’s a rewrite of my old story, Harvard Hottie. But it has a very different ending and an epilogue in the future. mybook.to/likeaboss Have you ever met someone and hated them instantly? For me, that was Luke Thayer. When I met him freshman year of college, he was as smug as he was rich and gorgeous. A spoiled jerk who would get everything he wanted in life. Now it’s sixteen years later. He’s just as obnoxious and handsome as he ever was, and ten times as wealthy. But he’s not the same—a rock climbing accident a decade earlier has landed him in a wheelchair for life. And I get one other big surprise: He’s my new boss. mybook.to/likeaboss

P.S. For those of you who read the original, or even those who haven’t, would love to hear your thoughts on the revision! 😘

annabelle, I woke up in a dev high this morning - my devness was racing through my blood. I just happened to see a link to your book on a Facebook page. BINGO - I knew I needed to read a "dev book" to get me through this. LOVE it so far. I'll share more once I'm done. Let's hope I survive this high...LOL

I’m revising this old story I wrote, and I’m having so much fun doing it, but I recognize that there’s no plot. It’s basically just a guy and a girl hanging out a lot. I find it sexy but a book needs to have a plot!

Hey Annabelle, thank you so much for redoing this story! I remember first reading Harvard Hottie on the original fiction site when I was in high school. It was so cool to read it again. It seemed way more devvy this time, but maybe that's also because I'm older. I only have a few minor complaints, and they all happened within one paragraph: - Hello World takes about 5 lines in C (with good comments).
- People will usually measure their code in lines, not pages.
- You can't spill vodka on code that you would probably submit electronically.
These are all very minor, of course. Loved reading the update!

These are all very minor, of course. Loved reading the update! That is actually based on a true story from my own computer science class about something a student did. (He definitely didn’t use good comments.) We used to have to submit hard copies of all our code. That’s probably not true anymore... when I first wrote this, Ellie was older than me but now she’s younger.

That definitely made the life of a TA a bit easier! It's definitely interesting to hear how things have changed. Sorry about the presumptuousness of my previous comment.

No worries, Celeste. It was stupid and wasteful we had to print everything that way! I’m sure current students don’t have to.

And I get one other big surprise: He’s my new boss. mybook.to/likeaboss Was perusing my goodreads list and saw this book came up. I had read Harvard Hottie before and loved it, but I think I loved this one even more!! (Or, this revision, as it were). If only I could live in Greece. If you revise further, you should add something about all of the amazingly friendly stray dogs and cats through Mykonos. :-) Thanks so much for sharing with us. Looking forward to reading more. It's good inspiration for the first dev novel I'm writing! I'm trying to channel you! :-)
