I just started playing INTO THE BREACH, a fun 16-bit turn based strategy game where you use MECHS to destroy giant insects. It's a lot more complicated than that, but that's at least the gist of the game. Also you can play the whole game with just a mouse, which is super helpful. Love and hate for that game, just saying, for stronger super Bugs you have to fight. I am now playing WOT (World of Tanks) or some world of warships on PC.

I love gaming. It is a great way to socialize over the internet. However, there isn't a single game I focus on. Whatever my friends play, I play.

Unrelated but I discovered some easy to play games (Minimal controls) except with a lot of reading. Very close to text based rpgs of old. They were on a couple top games of 2022 lists and I haven't tried the 2nd one yet but it looks fun/interesting. Something I think you would like Armus. 1. Pentiment: pentiment.obsidian.net/Takes place in 1518 in Bavaria (Germany) around a murder at a church. It's got A LOT of written dialogue so you have to be for that. So far it's a very interesting story with lots of references to the happenings of the time, like a lot of talk about Martin Luther. 2. Citizen Sleeper: store.steampowered.com/app/1578650/Citizen_Sleeper/I haven't played this one yet but it's enough their heavy dialog game. It's Sci-Fi and anarchism seems like a big part of it.

It's Sci-Fi and anarchism seems like a big part of it. i've played both lmao petiment was my game of the year. it was written by josh sawyer, and i love everything he's ever worked on, especially the pillars of eternity games. the man is an excellent writer. pentiment's narrative was a bit predictable (i had the ending figured out about halfway through) but that's not that big of a deal when the characters and themes of the story are more important than the plot, and those are the things sawyer writes best. its also quite possibly the most accurately titled video of all time. the whole time you play it, keep in mind what pentimento means, and you'll see it EVERYWHERE throughout the game. also, lingua ignota did the pre-credits music. josh sawyer is a lingua ignota reply guy on twitter dot com, and i had been wondering how long before she would do music for a game he's been narrative director on lmao citizen sleeper was really interesting but didn't grab me. i plan to give it another try though because it contains so much shit that i know i would like. i love cyberpunk, i love political theory, i love politics as praxis, i love stories about the humanity of constructs (i grew up reading Asimov), i love strategy games, i love complex narratives, and i love the art style. i happened to listen to the soundtrack on spotify last week and its VERY good so now i wanna play more of the game and hear the music in context. maybe i'll boot it up today and give it another go.

I've never played Tarkov but I recently did this alpha playtest for a game called Dark and Darker, basically Tarkov if it was a DnD styled fantasy. Kinda janky but it was still fun. Most annoying part was trying to make friends with other players by emoting at them, they'd hesitate so I'd think we're cool... then they walk up and stab me in the face anyways haha I'm a little tempted to get Tarkov, but I don't think I'd stick with it long enough to be worth it

Personally, city skylines has become another like a snow globe miniature for me. I must have like 300 addons, and some of my favorite are the realtime mods. It really does relax you to just casually keep an eye over the 4th monitor

I'm at the point now where I'm gaming far more casually than I used to. A moxture of sports games and No Man's Sky at the moment. The latter I find very relaxing, just going from planet to planet, seeing what I can find.
