I was a user previously and glad to be back in hopes of striking up old friendships and making new ones along with whatever else may come along! I’m 37 from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I’m a lifelong wheelchair user with an extremely rare genetic disorder that to date I’m the oldest survivor with. rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/pterygium-syndrome-multiple/ I battle the everyday things of anxiety and depression, which are far more debilitating at times than my physical limitations, and that contributed to my previous departure of shutting myself off to the world, when I probably really didn’t need to. (I’m formerly theboulder, tboulder, something along those lines) Thanks for having me back

Welcome back. What have you been up to since we saw you last? I wish I could tell you this tale of great wealth and social status, but I’ve pretty much just been keeping my head above water and trying to roll with the punches of life. Last I was here I was hosting a wrestling podcast. I lost that gig around the same time as my departure here, but at that time it was for the best. I was doing the formatting, recording, editing, post production, and distribution. Recording days were sometimes 14 hours of no income. The free labor and long taxing hours became too much to bear My oldest puppy is still alive! She will turn 19 in May, if she can make it that long 🤞. I opened an ABLE account, so I’m not as worried about losing my funding because of extra income. I’ve tried to pick up some freelance work while I’m at home anyway. The pandemic didn’t really change much of my everyday life, but I don’t think I realized how initially other people also not being able to freely come and go would be extremely depressing. I had two roommates previously. It’s now just one but soon to be zero as the remaining roommate always planned on moving back to Texas eventually. It’ll be quite the adjustment as I’ve never lived completely alone in my life, with all the things that could randomly malfunction stranded in a power chair, it’s a super scary feeling. I’ve had it happen twice. I do have an emergency response watch attached to my seatbelt, but that doesn’t do much good if I’m too far away from the box for the operator to hear me. A day in the life

Ah, I remember something about a wrestling podcast. Too bad it went pear shaped. Living alone sounds does seem a little nerve wracking, hopefully you enjoy the solitude and have some good credit with the powerchair gods.
What kind of dog do you have? 19 is amazing.

She’s a Jack Russell Terrier. The hearing and vision are gone, and her sniffer isn’t what it used to be. She still finds her way to be mischievous and get into things she shouldn’t Her sister is 9 and she’s a 50 lb chocolate Labrador Attachments:
