Hey folks!
Curious if anyone has any interest in my story?
20 something guy with spastic cerebral palsy and a metric ducky on of corrective treatments behind me. I’ve had regular Botox, a tendon transfer, a selective dorsal rhizotomy, AFOs and various OT and PT.
Figured I’d ask before I waste time with the story of my life.

I like hearing everyone’s stories! I like learning about people in general, but it’s also a great help in trying to understand the ups and downs of what people go through (in addition to getting more familiar with the kinds of medical procedures might take place and why).

This year it will be 33 years since my accident, which is the same number of my house. Over the last 12 months, I have lost many friends, soldiers, who I have served with and friends from the spinal hospital. Like some of you know I do videos on Instagram/Facebook called Pete’s country roll… 😇 which are basically a bit of a laugh! Although I am not sticking them on TikTok! A couple of my army buddies have asked me to write my life story, so many times. So today I am going to start it and I’m not gonna stop until it’s finished. I am going to write fresh, a new perspective, which will basically be my life with my sense of humour thrown in. Because deep down, that’s who I am and I would say I’ve had a good life. Okay, I’ve had the sex life of a monk, but I am lucky to have great parents, and a wonderful family. I haven’t found my red haired, green eyed goddess yet, but perhaps somebody someday may read it! Who knows … so I am going to have a break from here for a bit. Don’t worry, Pete’s country roll will continue to those who I have added to Facebook/Instagram. If you have seen the last one as I have got my new glasses, it’s the new lease of life. 😎
