Hello! Tell us a bit more about yourself - how you spend your days, stuff you like, whatever disability details you think might be helpful or interesting for people to know (if you’re so inclined), general location (however specific you want)…
Just give us an idea of who you are, however you’d like to define yourself 😊
Welcome!

Absolutely, I actually live alone. I like to enjoy nature, watch movies, play video games and listen to music. people wonder how I use my phone and play video games without hand function. Voice dictation for my phone and my video games, I had to teach myself a new method of using my controller. I was introduced to assistive technology in the hospital, but I haven’t relied on it. Luckily. I’ve been living on my own for a little over a year now after my car accident about three years ago I had to move back in with my parents for a little while to get back on my feet so to speak still hasn’t happened yet, I’m not really sure about giving my location out there just yet, but I’m in the southeast of the United States. I’m not really sure how to define myself, but if I had to, I would say I am a person that has always strived for self sufficiency and independence even before my accident , I wanted to move to Alaska and live off the grid now I do my best not to be a burden to people

As far as disability details I’m not really sure what to say. Other than I use a power chair and hospital bed. I am happy to say I winged myself off of all of my medication, and I do not have a colostomy bag or a suprapubic catheter. I am paralyzed from the sternum down zero function or sensation. I can move my arms, but they are very weak. My triceps barely work. Needless to say life sucks sometimes. If anybody knows anything about a spinal cord injury, you know that your body struggles just to maintain itself. I can’t regulate blood pressure or body temperature so most days are tough. I’ll try to get on here and answer any questions anyone may have. First question to answer is no I’m not gay.

I came across paradevo by researching devotees. Still kind of shocked that there are women out there attracted to guys with a disability.. I’ve already kind of come to terms with the fact I will not be in another relationship. Not sure if I belong here though because I think this is only for paras and I am a quad.

PD is not only for paras despite the name. It’s not even only for wheelers. There are pwd here with all sorts of disabilities and devs who like a wide range.

Hello, and welcome to PD!
I'm a high para/low(ish) quad dev. However, I'm 58 years old, so I don't think I am who you are looking for. LOL But, as others have stated, there are devs of a variety of disabilities on PD. Your best bet is to find threads that you feel you have something of value to add and participate in them, which helps people get to know you better.

I can’t even send messages By now you are able to send messages, you are required to post 10 times before you are allowed to that. I'm not sure how the name of the website came to be, but I always assumed it was the Spanish word for para as in "for devotees", I think if we do a poll among the PWD the highest number would be quads so you are definitely not in the wrong place. Just have fun and try to be open-minded about us.
