I’m mostly a once in awhile visitor myself these days, but what you shared resonates with me. I found this place so very long ago (in my teens!), literally a half a lifetime ago for me at this point. At times, I can go months away and, yet, I always find myself back here again and again. It’s a core part of us, you know?

I’m mostly a once in awhile visitor myself these days, but what you shared resonates with me. I found this place so very long ago (in my teens!), literally a half a lifetime ago for me at this point. At times, I can go months away and, yet, I always find myself back here again and again. It’s a core part of us, you know? Truly! I posted my gratitude about it in the Devs Only section but it bears repeating. This site, as far as I'm aware, is the only place on the internet that validates our attractions without pathologizing them. The conversations here challenge ableist assumptions that cause shame, which many devs have carried for years. Instead, we see so many posts offering important insight on how we differ from the more potentially problematic groups with which we're often associated. Even further than that, to actually have a forum for topics, both positive and negative, without undo fear of judgement is invaluable. Of course we always come back. There's nowhere else for us to go. <3

Welcome (back), Winters. Looking forward to hearing more from you. You probably didn't LITERALLY mean it, but I'm getting a laugh out of imagining someone picking up your newspaper to read it and there being two eye holes cut out of the page
