I hate to fall under the stereotype, but being Brazilian, I’m a Caipirinha kind of girl Oh I went for my end of school there when I was 18 and I drank so much Caipirinha that my body can't drink that and not feel pain from 7 days of non stop drinking, sun bathing and partying 😂 (I am from Argentina btw) Haha, that brings me some college memories!

Im allergic to alcohol lol but my poison would be just gossiping with my bff lol Gossip hangovers can be bad too, depending on what's discussed and if anybody finds out you've been talking about them I hate to fall under the stereotype, but being Brazilian, I’m a Caipirinha kind of girl Oh, those are really good too! Now that the weather has warmed up here, I might have to order or make one soon.

Rum and diet coke. I'm trying to eat low carb, and rum and similar hard liquors don't have carbs. Guilty pleasures include wine, especially German whites and fruity drinks.

If the bar is nice enough, my go to tends to be sangria. I love fruity-sweet-tangy cocktails; Although I won't say no to a good cider or sour beer. As for drinking at home, I always have a bottle of flavoured soju on hand. (Currently have apple mango and watermelon)

For me, alcoholic beverages are more occasional and random, rather than seasonal. Sometimes, on any day of a particular weekend, I may share a shot or half a glass of red wine, chardonnay, or rosé with family and friends.
I can't stomach whiskey or tequila by itself, but I do like margaritas and mimosas every once in a while. Mojitos aren't too bad either. I don't really drink beer as much, though I shared an IPA with my brother years ago, and I thought it was okay. I'm still trying to wrap my head around IPA haters; lol, like what's so bad about IPAs? I've never tried rum with cola, but now I may try it one of these days. In general, however, I consider myself to be a moderate drinker of social lubricants, haha.
There are a number of non-alcoholic beverages I like as well including various seltzers and juices. I developed a taste for grapefruit juice a couple of years ago.

I’m all about the fruity drinks…sea breeze, bay breeze, cape cod, madras…when I can find them, Sunny D seltzers. Hard lemonades are yum too. Basically, I don’t wanna taste the alcohol lol.

There's a super sweet prickly pear cider from an Oregon brewery that I swear is made by angels. Otherwise, I've been going through a big Malört phase. It is absolutely heinous.

Myrrh, are you from Chicago? Because nobody outside Chicago has ever heard of it. I myself never did until I moved here and a friend told me that drinking a shot of Malört was one of the 2 things one must do to become a "real" Chicagoan. (For the uninitiated, Malort is a wormwood liquor brewed by a Swedish immigrant to Chicago that, in my friend's accurate description, takes like "sandpaper and sadness".) Chicagoans love everything Chicago, including its infamous Swedish liquor. I like to surprise visitors with a shot, because sometimes life just needs to shock you in the tongue.

No sir, never been to Chicago. A local bar was doing a Chicago themed event with Chicago dogs and Malort, and I became obsessed.
The stuff really is... strong. The wormwood has an astringency that's a bit like chewing aspirin, and it smells like turpentine. It pairs well with a grapefruit radler though. I think anyone who likes tonic could enjoy it, but I tend to enjoy bitter flavors.

I’m not too picky on the occasions that I do drink. However, my poison is more the green sticky-icky. It melts all my stress and spasticity away after work.

You just might be the only person to taste Malort who's never been to Chicago. Not sure that's the export we really want going for us though...

It’s not really related but could movies music and book can be toxic sometimes ? At least for me that’s the opposite with this one : Yesterday I watched the movie called music within surprisingly I didn’t know it but it’s a true story
After a confrontation with one of his idols dashes his dreams of studying public speaking in college, Richard Pimentel (Ron Livingston) joins the Army and ships off to Vietnam. During his service, Richard loses nearly all of his hearing. Joining a new circle of friends, including a man with cerebral palsy and an alcoholic war veteran, Richard discovers his gift for motivational speaking and becomes an advocate for people with disabilities.
