They say you can tell a lot about a person by their choice of drink. So, I'm curiousโwhat's your favorite drink? And, extra points if you include your old standby you always have on hand.
My favorite drink oscillates based on my mood and the season, but summertime is definitely mojito season. I'll go for whiskey any time of year, though. I'm definitely not opposed to a cocktail, but usually I am a straight up or a few drops of water guy. Lately I've been fascinated with exploring Asian whiskeys with my current favorite being Nikka Coffey from Japan. If you enjoy whiskey even a tiny bit, you will love it.

For cocktails, I will usually opt for an old fashioned or a Manhattan (they're almost the same thing). Bourbon or whiskey in either. Not too picky really. I only really shy away from bitter cocktails and spirits, like Negroni or Aperol Spritz, bleck!
I am also a beer fan and my tastes there are similar. I absolutely hate IPAs or anything very hoppy/bitter. I first learned to enjoy beer on a great vacation in Munich, Germany so German beers have a special place in my heart and palate. But I'll try anything with IBU below 40 or so. I like lagers, wheat beers, sours, kolsch, cream ale, red or brown ales, stouts, porters...all kinds of things. I enjoy trying out different beers and breweries and tracking what I've sampled on the app Untappd.
Combining the two, there's nothing that compliments a beautiful day outside like a cold Radler. We even served them at our spring-picnic-style wedding with imported kegs of Franziskaner Hefeweizen and homemade lemon syrup/lemonade that we blended just for the occasion.

Lately, I've been sipping on Jameson on the rocks. We visited the distillery last year during our Ireland vacation and so we've been doing Jameson. That being said, I really enjoy Smithwicks, and Irish red ale as well, not really into Guiness. I also have a bottle of Baileys in the fridge when I feel like sweet. For after dinner, helping with digestion, I sometimes have Jaegermeister or Obstler (German apple/pear brandy) ready in the fridge. Btw, that is what Jaegermeister is meant for, not to get wasted on with Jaeger shots. And another gem I have in my fridge right now is Mead from Denmark called "Viking Blood". When the mood strikes, I'll take a little sip of that on ice. It's a honey wine with hibiscus and hops added. When it comes to cocktails, I like mixes with citrus flavors or cranberry. I also love Mint Julep. I also very much like a Lavender vodka from a local distillery here in our town. Since I'm German, I also like German beer, not so much Hefeweizen, but as ayla mentioned, Radler is a favorite summer drink; it's basically Pilsner with Sprite/Lemon soda. Growing up in Germany, we've been around wine and beer all our life pretty much. I come from a wine area in Germany, so I also enjoy different wines. And I sound like I'm an alcoholic, but I'm not...I enjoy different things in moderation and when the mood strikes, depending on what I eat and where I'm at.

I like Not Your Fathers cannabis alpine splash. Itโs like Mountain Dew with quick acting cannabis in it.

At the end of a long and tiring day, I prefer a glass of white wine or rum and coke depending on the mood.
When out for dinner, if in the mood for cocktails, I usually go for the ones like the fruity and tropical ones like Pina Colada, Mai Tai, or the good old Cosmo.

My favorite drink is one of the most famous Tiki drinks in the world. Composed of rum, orange curaรงao, fresh lime juice and orgeat (a nuanced almond syrup), itโs held sway over cocktail enthusiasts and Tiki aficionados for decades. It even enjoyed a star turn in the Elvis film โBlue Hawaii.โ Some experts credited Victor (โTrader Vicโ ) Bergeron with inventing the recipe in the 1940ยดs while others believe that its creator is Donn Beach who is assumed to serve it first at his bar in the 1930ยดs. If you know the right answer to this complicated riddle add insult to injury and contact me.The first 5 DMs in my postbox will win a fabulous meet-and-greet with this extraordinary beverage. I, for sure, will only be there to take care of the bill!

Cocktails: gin and tonic or an extra dirty martini Wine: red, especially Shiraz and Malbec Beer: nothing too hoppy, but I'll try lots of things. I recently had a strawberry sour that was shockingly good. I don't mind a splash of Irish cream in a hot chocolate.

Budweiser and Capt. Coke but like shot for something special would be a dead Nazi (half Jag & half rumple Mintz)
but a normal day, only water
I used to drink more than a fish before my injury and now hardly ever drink alcohol and has nothing to do with trying to be sober or anything like that.

White wine in summer in the garden with friends Red wine in winter in front of the fire place (reading Jane Austin ๐คฃ) Beer if I donโt trust the wine they serve Mojito is the summer cocktail of choice (with pornstar martini recently getting a good second place) Rum and coke for cocktails in winter (or if they donโt serve mojitoโs) Limoncello with coffee after a nice dinner.
Not an alcoholic I promise, ๐ฌ
