Sorry I can't help you, never heard of this film before. Maybe one of our members in Europe has it on DVD?
But just reading synopsis on IMDB, it sounds kinda bad. A paraplegic guy who's suicidal (of course, is there any other kind?) decides that the key to mental health and improved self-esteem is to have three prison inmates and a retarded girl carry him up a mountain on a stretcher. What?! The "triumph over adversity" genre isn't bad in itself, but why doesn't he choose something he can do himself, rather than being carried? And if he's a para, why isn't he pushing himself? I'm dubious about how much the writer and director know about SCI. Has anyone seen this?

It sounds like a new twist on an old theme. Instead of another tired old "Yes, I can" hero worship saga, it's a "Yes, they'll do it all for me" tale. ;D

The movie's not as bad as it sounds... I've got it on DVD and seen it a couple of times. Ken Duken is hot. But there actually seems to be no trailer availably on the internet - at least not anymore, sorry.

Man, if that's the premise, it sounds kinda screwed up, but u never can tell about movies. Sometimes the absurd can be GREAT. Look how screwy 'Lil miss Sunshine' was, but such a great movie. Personally, i'm so disillusioned with most movies nowadays. It's so damn rare to find great dialog, good fuckin story and BELIEVABLE!!

Okay, now I feel like I have to defend the movie - probably because it's a German one and I'm from Germany. ... A paraplegic guy who's suicidal (of course, is there any other kind?) decides that the key to mental health and improved self-esteem is to have three prison inmates and a retarded girl carry him up a mountain on a stretcher. It's not the paraplegic guy's decision, it's the physical therapist who decides to join up with with the prison inmates (coz she's into their supervisor). The reason for trying to clim "Gran Paradiso" is that the paraplegic guy had always planned to climb the mountain with his father (who got killed in the same accident which left him paralyzed). And by the way: the retarded girl's only there because she hid in the cargo bay of the bus. It was never the plan to take her with them.
