Happy St Patricks day to you all!! No real reason behind this comment, but the sun is shining...the sign of a good day ahead!

May the road rise up to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face May the rain fall soft upon your fields And until we meet again May God hold you in the palm of His hand

Sure, I'll oblige ...and if anyone is wondering that post of mine was 'Happy St. Patrick's Day' (more or less) in Gaelic...

AB: I'll have to owe you a kiss regardless of your heritage from a 100% NY Irish-Catholic!
E: Congratulations and thanks on behalf your charitable efforts. 5 years ago, when none of my friends were volunteering to be sheared (after several years in a row) I decided to step up to the plate and "auction" off the chance for my friends and family to put their money where the mouths were and volunteered to have my decades old, hippie wannabe/antisocial/rebellious uncut hair shorn. Net result: my ponytail went to Locks of Love; ~$2200.00 went to Saint Baldrick's and Pediatric Cancer Research; and 100% of people who knew or have met me INSIST that I keep my head shaved, so not only am I clonal rather than antisocial, but I've never shaved so much in my life (both in area and frequency!). My facial hair, graying as it may be is sacrosanct! And I refuse to keep it trim, sticking with my long goatee/van dyke a la the "biker" look.
Windy: Thanks to Catholicism in Ireland, "Beannachtaí na féile pádraig oraibh! " colloquially IS an expression of "Happy St. Patrick's Day", though it's literally "Blessings on the Feast of Patrick". But what can you expect from a culture where religion was so ingrained that "Hello" is "Dia duit", or "God save you"! And mythically, Naomh Padraig (Saint Patrick) is responsible! Either way, it's getting late and I want to catch the satellite broadcast of Ireland (hopefully) beating Wales for the Grand Slam win of the Six Nations Tournament in 8 hours, so "Go raibh maith agat agus slan go foill". ("Thank you and goodbye for now" to the 99% who have no idea what Windy or I are talking about - and don't even try to pronounce any of it as it is spelled!)
