For the first time ever, I just wished I could push a manual chair.

why would anyone want that much seat-tilt? it'd be like sitting in a bucket.

Wow, it is nice. Great front fork design, too. But did you see the price of it??

why would anyone want that much seat-tilt? it'd be like sitting in a bucket. Tri, one of my BIID friends is an OT (just about to get her doctorate!) and fits people for wheelchairs, so here's the scoop she gave me when I questioned her on dump (I think it was her anyway that told me this): more dump makes you more secure in your seat, less likely to slide out of it (especially if you're very active), plus it makes your push more efficient, and lowers your center of gravity. There is some trade-off however in ease of transfer, increased risk of skin breakdown, and lower spine curvature, so it's a personal choice. Anyway, that chair is fully customizable, you can order as much or little dump as you want. Wow, it is nice. Great front fork design, too. But did you see the price of it?? Yeah, saw the price. It's STILL a hot chair! It's like the Ferrari of wheelchairs. ;D Makes me drool........

Yeah, that's a pretty sweet ride, I'd like a chair with a bit more dump myself...well when I hit the big bucks...the Florida powerball lottos is above 100 million last I checked...

That chair has a very nice look to it & it seems to be easily adjustable ,although the footplates are set too close to the front wheels.Usually prefer a larger cushion on a chair to give me more height & I think that would work with this chair

'dump', huh? that's the technical term for seat angle? i'm sorry...that just is too similar to 'taking a dump'.

Sorry, Tri. When I got my chair, that's what the salesman called it! (But I knew that already, obsessively looking up wheelchair information for years and years...) My OT friend calls it that too. It can also be called squeeze or rake. Or "seat angle".
