Here's a new one: www.airwheelchair.com/I just can't imagine that would withstand the abuse that Yoell or Andy would give it!

I wouldn't feel safe in a plastic wheelchair...on a totally separate note, I think that's one of the first good looking wheeler girls I've ever seen in my life...

I do know someone that has that chair. He older and has polio, and walks with some difficultly. Actually, a pretty slick chair. And yes, I would destroy that chair pretty quickly. Thanks for the compliment Claire. You are too nice to me, haha!
On a second note, There are a plethora of hot wheeler woman here in Colorado. And, this month with the National Wheelchair Basketball Championships here there was too many smoking hot woman wheelers. I hates to see 'em leave.

The girl is pretty, but that plastic yellow chair is heinous.

Had a quick look at the chair. The seat looks so uncomfortable, dont think I could sit in that all day.Customisation is a change of colour according to them & thats it...
My chair isnt perfect but I dont think I will be changing it for this anytime soon.

The blonde when you mouseover "Partners" was alright, too.

I took another look at the page...are those really wheeler girls, or just models...? I'm suspicious, since the site seems to have a disproportionate amount of women has the models, and as far as I knew (I can be pretty ignorant to the facts, though), wheeler girls (especially of that 'sort') were quite a minority...it's almost practically a potential porn site for male devs on the site...

The girl is pretty, but that plastic yellow chair is heinous. Agreed 100%. You nailed it. I don't like the look or that torture device cleverly masking as a seat sling. Let's just say I wouldn't be wearing cutoffs in that chair, lol.

Heyyy, I dig the idea of this chair, and I bet that plastic is a LOT more durable than you think. I'd love an 18 lbs chair...my damn driving brace probably weights over 10 lbs.

I bet the plastic would hold up, too. I just think that the shape of the frame is really awful. All that mass is needed for reinforcement, but still, it looks terrible. And that color yellow looks like puppy poop, lol. I also think that there's going to be a trade off in that it would probably ride crappy. You're going to feel every bump in it.
I hear ya on the tiedown. My EzLock bracket easily weighs 10 pounds. It's pretty stupid, lol, the chair will survive the crash but our weight will tear the backrest off the frame. Mr Face, meet Mr Windshield. ;D That'll happen right after we get impaled on the steering wheel tripin, lol.

I agree, the women are cute. The featured colors (yellow and the powder blue) ARE heinous. An 18 pound chair WOULD be fantastic!
As to the complaints, it appears that you can use your own cushion (the blonde in the rollover that E mentions appears to have a black upholstered seat cushion). I always thought it was the seat belt that kept me from going through my windshield or being impaled on my steering column.
My gripe: Looking at the side view of the chair in the last video testimonial, that chair is EXTREMELY long and must have a nasty turn radius! I swear I think that thing is longer than my shower chair!

i just wonder if a chair that light would be tippy/top heavy. its going to inevitably make your center of gravity high. i'd think you'd probably need a good deal of strenth and balance to handle it safely. but itd be great for an active, low para
