There's a new story up on the site from Bananas called "Pros and Cons". I read it and I can guarantee it's very hot. So check it out.
I am having some technical difficulties with getting the comment posting to work on the website, so that's not working as of now.... so please post all your comments to Bananas on this thread. I'm sure she will appreciate any nice words and she hinted that she's got other material.

OK, I feel like I always get stuck in the position of being annoying, but I really really encourage you to post comments here for Bananas's story. I can't pay her money, so the only payment she gets for her work is your comments. I promise you, she's not going to post more stories if you guys don't give her any encouragement. Amy (author of The Library Nazi) recently emailed me that she abandoned her efforts on a second story because she felt that people just weren't that interested.
You don't need to go out of your way to read the story, but I know from the counter that it's getting lots of hits and people are getting to it from this page. Bananas wrote 30 pages, I think she'd appreciate one sentence from you.
And on my part, I will work on fixing the comment posting directly from the story in order to make things easier, but I may not get to it for at least a few more days.

Thanks Lee! I feel a little cheesy, getting you to pimp out my work for me. lol. ;oP It's sweet if noone likes it. i just hope i don't get any hate mail! haha! For the record, Bananas did not ask me to "pimp out her work" for her. It's just something I noticed over the years that if the writers get encouragement, they're more likely to submit more.

I enjoyed the story too, Bananas!
I didn't quite say that I wasn't going to write anything new because I thought nobody cared. It was more just that I had some writers block and since nobody was clamoring for anything new, I was just kind of like meh.

I didn't quite say that I wasn't going to write anything new because I thought nobody cared. It was more just that I had some writers block and since nobody was clamoring for anything new, I was just kind of like meh. Sometimes it's very hard to judge where the line between "showing interest" and "pestering the author for more". I recall a conversation I saw not so long ago where they some fanfic writers were talking about feedback, and one of them even said she didn't like it that much because too many comments made her feel pressured to write. I know that that particular feeling is a minority one, but even then most writers do complain about people asking too much at some point (As Neil Gaiman said recently on his blog " is not your bitch!") Lee has the numbers, but I think the hits that the stories page gets should be an indicator that there is some interest. I'll confess I check it once in a while even there are no news on the board of a new story... and pretty much daily if there's one on the works I don't know how to help somebody get through their writers block, but I can tell you I do like your stories, Amy, and that I'd love to read more. And this also goes for Bananas, and everybody else who writes, of course. Feedback is a complicated thing. We already lurk too much on this board (I read it daily and have 70 posts!), and I it's probably even worse with stories. I'm not trying to blame anybody, I'm the first on the list of "ungrateful readers". I've tried to post a bit more, but even then only left Amy a couple of messages.

Uh oh, now you lit the fire under me to actually get it up there. It's going to be a few days because I need to edit it and put it in HTML format.

Hey, it's been rainy n ugly here for a few days, so I tried reading "Pros n Cons", fully expecting to losing interest after a few paragraphs. So, I'm surprised to report it's been an interesting, fun, even insightful, read. Thanks for the unique entertainment!! And I hope you realize i've been kidding about Rancho Tostito!! hehe Oh, one more thing...I live in a town called "Dunedin", and I understand there's a sister-city in NZ named Dunedin, too. Do you know of it?
