I've been getting an average of two scammers a week IMing me from that dating4disabled site! I know it's juvenile but I've been messing with them. I finally got one to fess up and actually got a bit of an insight into their "profession". This is a HUGE business! He told me he has taken in $15k in one day! Obviously, he doesn't make that every day but HOLY SHIT!!! We are truly a country of idiots.

They especially like to target westerners with mental disabilities, autistic, Asperger's, Down's, dementia etc., etc., so I tend to be less critical of their victims and rather more...how shall I put it..."judgmental" toward those who prey on them.

You're kidding? Sorry, what are they actually doing to scam you? Fraudsters, like all criminals tend to prey on the most vulnerable and defenceless people in society. I'm not being scammed by anyone at the moment and I wouldn't fall for any dating scams, but I've never known anyone involved in business who has managed to avoid being conned through non or late delivery etc..

Niceguy, they hit EVERY dating site, including Craig's List....it's amazing how dudes fall for them, but they've gotten pretty good at preying on the guys. Hey, some guys probably like the attention, even if it is a scam.

LOL Jingle Pony.
Reminds me of the bell-ringer who forgot to release the rope and caught his ding-dong merrily on high. ;D

I find it highly doubtful that they're ever making 15K in a single day. Given that the email servers are flooded daily with the same basic scam, you'd have to be a total idiot living in a cave to fall for this con. Really, just the spelling & grammar in some of these letters is quite funny. If you're that stupid, and GREEDY (cons use your greed against you) to fall for something so incredibly crazy, well I hate to say it but you almost deserve getting boned.

I agree with everything you, Phil my stocking, ut UNBELIEVABLY there are more peeps falling for shit than you think. I saw a 20/20 thang about people falling for the "Hi Dear Beloved, I am the son of Nero Wahoolie, the defiled minister of Zambobway" scam, and I could NOT believe the kinda peeps falling for that. I get that one almost every week, but there was some SMART peeps thinking they would let them deposit billions into their bank account. Nigeria has made a national industry out of scamming us greedy Americans. They laugh at us, and I can't blame them.
