Do you believe in them? Have you ever made one and kept it? What's yours for 2010? 2009 was the first time I ever kept a new year's resolution and its an awesome feeling. I can't really say what was different in 2009, other than perhaps it was the head space in which I started the year. My resolution for 2010 is to to discover my creative side and be less analytical about things - sometimes it pays to just do and not over think things .

I can't say I believe in them, but it is an ideal concept, and like many who have fallen into the NY resolutions trap...I have made too many, and have broken more. My resolution is to not have a resolution ... just take things as they come but at the same time lookout for what's best for me and my partner. As the Aussie's say...She'll be right, mate

I don't believe in them, but I make 'em anyway ;D Hmm, maybe that's why they never last...? Because I don't put all my effort into making them... Well this year I'm going to save up money for some sort of summer vacationing, not sure what/where yet, but I want to go somewhere I've never been before, hehe. I had a crappy Norwegian summer this year, and it rained all the time, which sucked, so I want to go somewhere far far away from Norway next year! I'm actually pretty sure I'll be able to keep this resolution! (I'm great at saving up money!! ;D )

Hmmmmm, there's really nothing I need to STOP doing, and I'm really doing everything I can to keep the boat floating. However, I think I want to focus on writing some things that have been on back burner long time. Also, I'd like to self-publish a small book of 5 stories fiction and 5 nonfiction. I'd like to play some more open mics this year with my guitar player.
Who knows, I might START smoking since Neff is quitting!! hehe

I think New Year`s Resolutions can be a good way to set a long or short term goal. I think also people sometimes need to not worry about taking them too seriously. It`s more of an ideal, and if you happen to reach that ideal, well then great, but not something someone should spend every moment of that year burdening theirselves with. It can be something just to be mindful of.
That said, I don`t make them every year, but recently, I have been making them. My resolution this year is to kick ass, and take names. There we go...à resolution that can`t be accurately measured so I can`t say I failed...w00t!

I hadn't planned to make one... but I've changed my mind. I want to shed fear in 2010 and want to live out loud. (as per Emile Zola

Hee hee Scarlet...well I already broke my resolution but I figure I'm a work in progress and it's hard to quit something that you've been doing since you were 16! I have tried to find substitutes for my oral fixation LOL but I fear I'll turn into a blimp through over-eating... ah well, at least I've cut down!

Do you believe in them? Have you ever made one and kept it? What's yours for 2010? A long time ago I resolved to not make new year resolutions any more. I broke that rule this year and resolved to keep that resolution.

I had a crappy Norwegian summer this year, and it rained all the time, which sucked, so I want to go somewhere far far away from Norway next year! A friend of mine who now lives in Norway (Oslo) just had Xmas back here with his family at the Gold Coast. I think he might find it a big change not being able to swim over there in winter after growing up in our climate. I recall years ago an exchange student from Malmö (Sweden) was amazed to see people were swimming at the beach in winter. She ended up loving it and said the water was warmer here in winter that at home in summer. LOL So bring your money and come on down to sunny OZ. The boys will just love you.

Ah, yeah, I bet he does! Only the crazy people swim here during the winters, lol They have to like cut away the ice before being able to swim, lmao!
