Just got finished reading "The Vixen and the Vet" by Katy Regnery. I know, I know, horrible title. I overlooked it for quite awhile til the reviews caught me. Sorta Beauty and the Beast style but really loved it. Amputee rt below elbow and horrible facial scarring. I thought very devy but I am turned on by scars.lol. Very sexy, touching, not sappy at all. Enjoy....

I just wanted to mention this book - I don't know if anyone did it previously: Winning Ruby Heart by Jennifer Lohmann www.goodreads.com/book/show/21489564-winning-ruby-heartIt is not the best romance novel I've ever read, but I liked it nevertheless. The male main character is a paraplegic (after a sporting accident that ended his sporting pro future), but it isn't an injury/recovery story, like so many times. He is already well adapted, with an established carrier, he just happens to do things differently. If he wasn't in the chair, the book would have been equally enjoyable. So it is just like life itself. The writer didn't shy away of the description of the everyday struggles of a (quite high) para - but fortunately didn't stress them either. Also the sex scenes were quite accurate and still quite hot (I think even for non devs, but that I wouldn't know for sure). I hate when the writer decides that the character is low/incomplete para/quad, so everything works the way it should. Well, in this book fortunately it wasn't like that.

Reviving a long quiet thread here- I'm considering picking up the Black Dagger Brotherhood book series. Yay or nay? I saw ~Z28gal~'s post about it in this thread, but wondered if anyone had any other thoughts or opinions on the series and whether it was worth picking up. Or maybe if there were certain books to read or skip. Thanks! :-)

I recently started reading Dark lover, It´s entertaining to some amount but I´m halfway through and I don’t think I will finish it. The male characters a so macho, violent, and small minded, even the humans are like this. The women don’t seem to care as long as they´re hot. I don’t like violence, but I don’t mind as long as it is called for, but here it seems many times it’s unnecessary. I just read The Arrangement by Mary Balogh and the hero is quite the opposite, he´s sweet and considerate. I really liked this one better.
