Sounds super cool and I would so be down. Maybe we can ask a question at a time. And if we get one answer we can go to the next question. And I don't see it being super bad if there was a joke or two in there it doesn't have to be heart renching questions. But it would be cool if we could have a few on topic question every now and then. What do you guys think ?

A$$y, If that's the idea you come up when you are tired, what are you like when you're fully awake?I think it will be very successful if you can mae it work. How will you do it?If its another section, you should probably run it past the person who has to do the work on it,unless you want to make a seperate place & link it by sticky.
Might I suggest that if you are going to do this, make it a "nothing is out of bounds" area.Start putting do's & don't's everywhere and people will be reluctant about contributing.I know you run the risk of scaring people off this way too,but I'm trying to work out how you can promote an honest & open debate, instead of the guarded, wary dance we get on PD influenced places.

Wouldn't it make more sense to make an Off Topic section instead? If we're starting a new section at all that is Either way, it probably would make off topic content more contained...

If its another section, you should probably run it past the person who has to do the work on it,unless you want to make a separate place & link it by sticky. That would be me. This is a good idea, but there is no reason why it has to be a separate section. You can easily start a new thread with a title "Ask me anything." We already have one section that is heavily moderated, the devs-only folder. I do not want to create more sections that also will need close moderation. I know it's frustrating when people post things you don't like or get, or when your posts get lost in the chatter. But there is a limit to how much I can control what people post. Aside from making sure things stay civil and the devs-only folder is maintained, you don't really want the mods deciding which posts are ok for certain sections, and deleting posts at will. How many jokes are too many? When is a stray comment too off topic? As we have seen from the previous discussion, these things are extremely subjective, and there is a wide range of opinion. I don't think creating separate sections where you can only discuss certain things is the way to go. But hey, if by "separate place" you mean another website or discussion board, go for it! There is no reason this has to be the only dev site out there. Please, create more!

If this place isn't satisfying your needs, then make one that does. Just put yourself in link section and you're off.

My feeling was that general section would be the source of everything goes if my idea was implemented, thus ppl wouldn't be scared off if they wanted to post about Ps4 and whatnot. Anyway, Dev girl has spoken, thus I can hope this matter can be put to bed.

A single thread would work if the questions were to specific people that you wanted to share with the entire membership, but if you were to get 3 or 4 open questions .then the answers would very soon resemble a plate of spaghetti. Edit:The 5 responses per question might just do it.Sorry, saw that after I posted.

Feel free to ask me anything. No holds barred. If you want to title it "Ask a dev" just start a new thread. I'm open to it. No question would be too strange for me.
