*Looks around for the other competitors* Me! I won! Don't feel bad Finally, I don't get it either and English is almost my only language.

Since I now KNOW I have been exposed to that "disability equals tragedy" view of our society for 9 yrs of a mother of a dis child (wheelchair and other issues...), so I´m used to that anyways View Attachment That is me and my son´s assistance dog in the class of my daughter making music and showing the dog and my son´s wheelchair to the AB children who - it´s a shame - are surprised that my son also goes to a school! (since there are no dis children in their school - nicely seperated by our society - different shelves for different "severities" of disabilities - AB children don´t even come in contact with "severely" dis children) Woah, so your son uses a wheelchair. I never heard of a dev who also had a kid with a disability. I'm not saying the two are connected, its just interesting to me. We recently had a discussion about devs adopting kids with the type of disability they are attracted to. paradevo.proboards.com/thread/4591/parenting-questionIt is also interesting that the kids in your son's school are surprised your son goes to school. Here in America disabled kids are in regular schools but they may be in different classes if they don't learn in the same way AB kids do. Also it's great to see what you look like!

*Looks around for the other competitors* Me! I won! I might not understand how that post is meant. But if I get it right, you´re insinuating there´s competition about masturbation going on? Maybe it´s sarcasm? I´m sorry, I really don´t get it... (maybe it´s because of English not being my mother language) I just feel confused because I really would like to talk about these things that sadly are tabood in our society. I am afraid that something I wrote or will write is being misunderstood. I am so sorry! Lucretia's right, I THOUGHT I was posting that in mrbb's "Hi" thread, where we were having an imaginary mudwrestling/crutch fight. I looked for it later and didn't see it and just thought I had hit preview instead of submit. I have been posting on this board for more than 5 years and have never had this happen. Am I losing it??? There is no reason for you to understand it because I don't get it either!

Well now this makes sense. And yet I am a little sad it did not make it in to my thread. Just saying. Well, that's where it belonged! I went back and looked at the original post to see if I posted from my phone and I can't blame that. I would not make fun of you, finally, over anything you've said here. I'm glad that you're excited and learning about yourself and enthusiastic about this place. I wish you the best of luck in your adventures. On a very, very trivial note, I am bummed that my first effort with the new ninja emoticon was a gross misuse.

On a very, very trivial note, I am bummed that my first effort with the new ninja emoticon was a gross misuse. hey, don´t worry, ninja! I´m glad I asked and got that straightened out for myself. I could have found that out on my own, since, sometimes you answer to a post reading only page one and not everything else - then, of course, you refer to page one - and that´s where the misunderstanding came from. I´ll be aware of that from now on - and I´m glad I asked and didn´t and and finally or even , you know? Or which has often happened in my life when I don´t ask and make up my own thoughts on certain topics regarding other peoples motivation to do something.

I am so glad you asked for clarification, too. And excellent use of emoticons! You are so right about the assumptions that we can make about others and their motivations. It's one of the life lessons I'm working on right now.

Welcome. Your story is a lot like mine.... known since childhood but didn't have a name, happy when I found out I wasn't alone and an unfulfilled marriage. Read, fantasize, connect... find yourself here. It's a great place and has given me the confidence to be who I was always meant to be.

Thanks for your response about your son Finally. I'm sure having disability in two very separate parts of you life can be confusing. It sounds like you have been able to see the positives in it though.
