Hello I'm from the Tampa Bay Area. Born with lumbosacral agenesis and use a wheelchair. Came here to make new friends with other disabled guys. I must admit I've never really identified myself with other disabled people except when I used to wheelchair race as a kid. I kind of miss that network of support. It would also be nice to get the perspective from open minded able bodies ladies to. Thanks for letting me on!

After reading some posts I Decided I'd finally share what brought me here. I've had varying degrees of experience with varying degrees of acceptance. My first run in with a devotee was in high school. My friend told me that I had to meet this girl and that she was into guys in wheelchairs. I thought she was totally joking until I met her and she gave me a pillow with a handicapped parking design sewn into it! It was hard to take her seriously. I realize now that my problem with her was not that she was a devotee but that she was actually a effing whack job! Lol. All my life I've been trying to get women to see past my disability. So the idea of a woman being attracted to me because of my disability was very new and weird to me. Then there was Lola. I met her in college she was my friends roommate and she developed a crush on me. Her dad was very excepting but her mother equated wheelchairs with being sick. It was the first time that my concern shifted from the woman's acceptance to the parents acceptance. We broke up after college and then I moved to Florida. I felt sort of damaged after my experience with Lola. Then I met Helena a Wiccan high priestess hypnotherapist and all-around badass. She help me explore the jigsaw which was my body of various sensations. Explore my subconscious found where I felt sensation and where I didn't have sensation. Piece and connect it all together in my mind and help me express myself fully sexually. What a gift she gave me. I still date casually but nothing really worth mentioning here. I am so glad that many of the themes of my experiences are shared here And that I am not alone. I look forward to reading and sharing more and finding balance with all that I've experienced.

She gave you a pillow?! Yup wack job. I'm glad you understand now. Lol I remember it was New Years Eve in my friend's living room and this poor girl nervously coming up to me shaking like a tween meeting Justin Beiber holding the pillow. I just let out this absurd laugh and told her how unnecessary it was. I was like I shattered her world. I then thought all devotees were going to be like her. Then later I realized hey I have an attraction to curvy girls that are usually Latin or black. But that's only what I like visually if I fall in love with a skinny chick that's fine to. So if someone has an initial attraction to my disability that's ok to. We like what we like. Took me a long time to reach this conclusion.
