Thanks for all the info...I agree with Kiran! Sometimes I am not sure about the abbreviations either...I like the list of abbreviations option, that would be cool!

It is funny, because when I joined more than four years ago, I also asked about the abbreviations. I support the idea of making a list of all the disability-related ones and putting it up as a sticky. I do not think this one has been mentioned, but it is probably self-explanatory: WC = wheelchair (although it always makes me think of a toilet )

Off topic but... OP = Opening post. Hehehehe. That works, but I think the O stands for "Original". It's often used to talk about the "Original Poster" as well. Wiktionary agrees.

I have never heard "grimp" - even the internet doesn't come up with anything useful except a french term for special fire brigade units. Do you maybe mean the word "gimp"? That's a slang/derogatory term commonly used for someone who walks funny or can't walk.
