I thought I’d introduce myself to those of you who don’t know me.
I have been on hiatus from the board for the better part of a year. I needed a break so I could concentrate on other things, but now I am back. I have been on the board for a number of years, on and off. Many of the old-timers are my friends, fewer are not, and I met my wife (Lucretia – the awesome ) here more than two years ago.
I think many find that I have some pretty outrageous viewpoints sometimes. I am an activist, something I can’t help. I will defend disabled and devotees and everything that comes with being either – not to death but to the point where the battle scars are clearly visible, at least.
I view disability as something that is pretty natural in and of itself and I think that many of the problems we experience are based on how people view us and the prejudice that comes with that view. I also think that applies to a large degree to devotees, they are frowned upon for having an attraction to people who are not deemed attractive in the eyes of society.
I have been in some pretty fierce battles here on the board sometimes. However, I will try to stop and roll away before they get out of hand – something I have gotten better at lately, mostly because I am no longer battling a serious condition that is way more under control than it was in the last 3-4 years. I am not going to go into it here but I am fine now (sort of)
At the same time I have found an outlet for my more extreme views on disability at my blog. I know some of you know it and read it *thanks* but for those who either don’t know it or those who don’t know it’s mine here’s it is:

It’s probably time for a new post there as well. We’ll see when it happens. Right now I am busy with so many other things.
