We had a somewhat boring but still home cooked dinner of steak and hot dogs (for the kids) on the grill, steamed broccoli and garlic + butter angel hair pasta.
That dessert looks amazing Braced!

It's 26 c outside, what do you drink on a hot day like this? Preferably something with whiskey, we don't have any other alcohol at home right now. I was going to say milkshake or iced coffee. Didn't think of alcohol at all at first. LOL Tomorrow I'm hosting a BBQ, I've gotten some beer and wine. Nothing like a cold beer on a hot day!

Or a lovely mint julep. Perfect use for whiskey on a hot day! Muddle fresh mint leaves and simple syrup (or sugar in a pinch... or mint syrup... or mint extract and sugar... maybe get creative here?) with ice and top with whiskey and seltzer.
