Hey everyone! I'm new and finally have a few minutes to write a proper introduction!
I'm a 30 year old dev in Canada. I've always been what I thought was a pretty "mild" dev - I've always been vaguely interested in disabled guys, but never intensely enough to actively seek out anything specific. I'm attracted to AB guys too, for sure, but I've always liked things a bit different - scars, hairstyles, body mods, nothing I've ever been into has ever been what my girlfriends are into, haha. I guess that always meant less fighting over guys!
Anyway, I never sought out a disabled guy, or dated one until fairly recently, when I met a guy who had Muscular Dystrophy. Before that I had no idea what MD even was really, and to be completely honest, had never thought of dating someone with something that involved. As it turned out, I was fabulously suited to the situation and had no problems whatsoever with any of it. It was total magic.
I've dated a few disabled guys short term here or there since but nothing serious, and am currently dating an amazing para who is totally blowing my mind with awesomeness. I feel like I might have an interesting perspective, having gone from dating someone who needed a lot of help with basic tasks and the bond we had from all that teamwork, to someone who is very independent and hates being helped. (And where if I turn my back for five seconds he's out of his chair and sitting on the top of the jungle gym at the playground sticking out his tongue at me.) I love(d) both experiences equally despite them being so very different. And I'd be so open to anything in between in the future, should I still be on the market!
I have been bitten by the bug, you might say...I can appreciate a hot AB guy but I don't know if I could go back now!
Thanks for being such a cool, welcoming group of people! Looking forward to "hanging out"!
