Ok so I'm really naive. What are MUSH and MUD?

Well MUDing isn't very interesting. You usually walk around a text-based 'dungeon' (the terminology coming from AD&D - dungeons and dragons) killing monsters. Boring! Then there's MUSHing, which is way more interesting and something that I do and have done for like 8 years now (God I'm getting old). You take on a character, give that character a physical description (purely textual) and come up with a personality for that character, then send him or her out into the world and interact with other players. It's like collaborative storytelling. Or improv theatre. Or a little of both. It can be completely fascinating and completely engrossing and completely addictively fun. Many games, both MUD and MUSH are set in fantasy-type worlds, though you shouldn't let that put you off necessarily. It just makes it a little more interesting. There is an overwhelming lack of disabled characters on almost every place I've played on. I myself have played two disabled characters.

There is an overwhelming lack of disabled characters on almost every place I've played on. It's hard to be a wheelchair user when you have to explore dungeons As to the original question, I'm not much into that kind of role playing myself.

Was the original msg referring to real life roleplaying or online only?

You're not actually exploring dungeons. Like, ever.

The roleplaying I'm talking about is online storyline roleplaying about people who have disablities.
